Finished Symphony
"Finished Symphony" is a song by the British electronic music group Hybrid. It is the first single from their debut album ''Wide Angle''. The track's popularity has increased since its release, and it has been used in various chillout collections, including the Ibiza series. The song has also been used in BBC's TV series ''Top Gear'', most notably during Season 7 Episode 5 which featured the Bugatti Veyron. There are two versions of the single, the UK version and Australia & Hong Kong version. All orchestral parts of the song are performed by the Russian Federal Orchestra. Hybrid (Welsh Band)
Hybrid is a British electronic music duo consisting of Mike and Charlotte Truman. The group was formed in 1995 by Mike Truman, Chris Healings, and Lee Mullin. At the time they were primarily known as a breakbeat collective, although they overlapped considerably with progressive house and trance. Their 1999 single, "Finished Symphony" was their first charting release and their debut studio album, ''Wide Angle'', was released that year to critical acclaim. Hybrid are considered pioneers of the electronic genre, and are known for their cinematic approach to their production, specifically with the use of orchestral recordings. After Mullin left the group their second studio album, ''Morning Sci-Fi'' (2003), was made with Adam Taylor and featured collaborations with Peter Hook and Kirsty Hawkshaw. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. ''Re_Mixed'' (also known as ''Hybrid Remixed'') is a two disc compilation album released in 2007, featuring remixes of songs by Hybrid. It was released with Distinctive Records on 22 October 2007. Hybrid had nothing to do with the compilation's release, as it was meant to be their final release on Distinct'ive Records. However, despite being managed by Hope Recordings, Hybrid still released their next few releases on Distinctive. Track list Promo Version A promotional version of ''Hybrid Remixed'' was released a couple of weeks before the official release. The promo version includes a different track list, including 17 tracks, over 2 discs. It includes a longer version of Cascade (featured on Scores), a different version of Future Funk Squad's remix of "Sleepwalking" and an extra remix of "Finished Symphony" and an instrumental version of Jerome Sydenham's remix of "If I Survive".
