Fish Fin
Fins are distinctive anatomical features composed of bony spines or rays protruding from the body of a fish. They are covered with skin and joined together either in a webbed fashion, as seen in most bony fish, or similar to a flipper, as seen in sharks. Apart from the tail or caudal fin, fish fins have no direct connection with the spine and are supported only by muscles. Their principal function is to help the fish swim. Fins located in different places on the fish serve different purposes such as moving forward, turning, keeping an upright position or stopping. Most fish use fins when swimming, flying fish use pectoral fins for gliding, and frogfish use them for crawling. Fins can also be used for other purposes; male sharks and mosquitofish use a modified fin to deliver sperm, thresher sharks use their caudal fin to stun prey, reef stonefish have spines in their dorsal fins that inject venom, anglerfish use the first spine of their dorsal fin like a fishing rod to lur ...

It was released as a single (b/w "Dreamsicle") on MCA 41109 in July 1979. It was first released on his 1979 album ''Volcano''. It reached number 35 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and number 42 on the Easy Listening chart. The title refers to the fins of metaphorical sharks, i.e. "land sharks", men who attempt to pick up the woman who is the subject of the song. She is said to feel like a remora due to the proximity of the predators. ''Cash Box'' said that "swinging southern pop-rock, served up Florida style, compliments the neat double entendre." ''Record World'' said that Buffet's "inspired vocals and a lively beat give this broad appeal.." "Fins" is one of Buffett's more popular songs with fans, and is part of " The Big 8" that he has played at almost all of his concerts. ...

For me, this is like an in-between thing — maybe get a song on the radio, maybe make some money, have some new shit to perform." The album has a more pop-influenced feel in comparison to her output with the Internet. However, Syd states that she has always been influenced by pop, and that the album is inspired by popular artists from her time, including Usher and Brandy. Influences of trap also appear throughout, most notably on the single "All About Me". "All About Me" was released as ''Fin''s lead single on January 11, 2017. A music video for th ...
