The Autostrada A1, nicknamed ''Autostrada del Sole'' ("Sun Motorway"), is the oldest European Highway and the most important in Italy. The highway links the largest cities on the Tyrrhenian side of Italy: Milan, Bologna, Florence, Rome and Naples.
