Fight (song)
Moldova participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Fight" written by Alexandru Braşoveanu and Elena Buga. The song was performed by Natalia Barbu. The Moldovan broadcaster TeleRadio-Moldova (TRM) internally selected the Moldovan entry for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. 34 entries competed to represent Moldova in Helsinki though a process entitled ''Pentru Eurovision 2007'', with three being shortlisted to participate in a live audition on 14 December 2006 where "Fight" performed by Natalia Barbu was selected by an expert jury. Moldova competed in the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 10 May 2007. Performing during the show in position 9, "Fight" was announced among the top 10 entries of the semi-final and therefore qualified to compete in the final on 12 May. Natalia Barbu
Natalia Barbu (; born 22 August 1979 in Bălți) is a Moldovan singer and songwriter. She is best known for representing Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Fight". Music career Throughout her career, Natalia has worked with a group of musicians called Trigon on an alternative jazz-folk experiment. She writes her own lyrics, composes the music for most of her songs, and collaborates on the arrangements with her crew. In 2006, Natalia Barbu signed a three-year contract with Cat Music Records (Sony Music) office in Bucharest. Her main success has been the release of her single " Îngerul meu" (My Angel) in Romania. The song remained in the Romanian Top 100 for 11 weeks at No.1, and was much featured on MTV Romania. Pavel Parfeni (born 30 May 1986), known professionally as Pasha Parfeny, is a Moldovan musician, singer and songwriter. He represented Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan, where he placed 11th with his song " Lăutar". He was formerly known for being the lead singer of the Moldovan band SunStroke Project. Biography Born in Orhei, Parfeny had been surrounded by music from a young age. His mother was a piano teacher at the local music school, while his father was a singer and a guitarist. Radio Moldova ( ro, Radio Moldova, RM) is the first publicly funded radio broadcaster in Moldova. History The first radio transmission in Moldova was broadcast on November 1, 1928 by the Radiotelephonic Broadcasting Company in Bucharest. On 30 October 1930, in Tiraspol started broadcasting a Soviet radio station of 4 kW whose main purpose was the anti-Romanian propaganda to Moldova between Prut and Dniester. A new radio mast, M.
