Fifth Development Cabinet
The Fifth Development Cabinet ( id, Kabinet Pembangunan V) was the Indonesian Cabinet which served under President Suharto and Vice President Sudharmono from March 1988 until March 1993. It was formed after Suharto was elected to a 5th term as president by the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR). Soepardjo Rustam
Soepardjo Rustam (12 August 1926 – 11 April 1993) was an Indonesian military officer, politician and diplomat. He served in a number of government positions, including as the Coordinating Minister of People's Welfare (1988–1993), Minister of Home Affairs (1983–1988), and as governor of Central Java (1974–1983). Joining the Indonesian Army during the Indonesian National Revolution, Rustam served as adjutant to armed forces commander Sudirman. After the war, he was sent abroad as military attaches in the Netherlands and Malaysia, and he aided in maintaining relations between Indonesia and Malaysia during the confrontation period. During the Suharto era, he was posted as ambassador to Yugoslavia and Malaysia, then served as governor of Central Java before becoming a central government minister until shortly before his death. Ir. Haji Azwar Anas gelar Datuk Rajo Suleman (born 2 August 1931), more colloquially referred to as Pak Anas, is a former Indonesian politician, bureaucrat, and military officer. A member of the Golkar political party, he served in a number of positions during the President Suharto's New Order regime. During his career in government, he served as the Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare, Minister of Transportation, and Governor of the province of West Sumatra. Hasjrul Harahap
Hasjrul Harahap (November 18, 1931 – February 7, 2014) was an Indonesian politician and government official. Harahap served as the Minister of Forestry from 1988 to 1993 under former President Suharto. Harahap was born on November 18, 1931. He was raised in Sipirok, North Sumatra. Harahap received a doctorate of science in 2004 from Bogor Agricultural University at the age of 73. He was the oldest student to receive a doctorate from the university. Harahap had defended his doctoral dissertation, "The Influence of Lead Pollution from Vehicles and Land on Tea Plants and Quality." He had researched the levels of lead pollution found in the roots of tea plants grown in the Puncak region of West Java: the Gunung Mas, Malabar, and Sidamanik tea plantations. Harmoko
Harmoko (7 February 1939 – 4 July 2021), colloquially referred to as Bung Harmoko, was an Indonesian politician and journalist who was active during the New Order era. He served as the Speaker of the People's Representative Council from 1997 until 1999, and was a factor in president Suharto's resignation during the widespread student demonstrations which occurred at the end of the New Order. Born from humble origins in East Java, on 7 February 1939, Harmoko graduated from journalistic school, and became a journalist. He was active during the Guided Democracy and New Order regimes, working in a number of different newspapers, including ''Merdeka'', ''Merdiko'', and ''Harian Mimbar Kita''. Lieutenant General Ismail Saleh (7 November 1926 – 21 October 2008) was Prosecutor General and later Minister of Justice of Indonesia. Biography Saleh was born in Pati, Central Java on 7 November 1926. He graduated from a school for native Indonesians in 1941. Four years later, he graduated from the Middle School of Agriculture, and in 1950 he graduated from high school; during high school he enrolled in the army. His first position in the army was in intelligence, serving with Third Division in Yogyakarta. In 1948, he transferred to the Ronggolawe Squad of Fifth Division in Pati and Wonosobo.
