Field Hockey At The Central American And Caribbean Games
The Field hockey competition at the Central American and Caribbean Games is an international field hockey event organized by the Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization (CACSO) as part of the Central American and Caribbean Games. The men's competition was introduced in 1982, and women's field hockey competition was first organized during the 1986 games. The winning teams qualify for the next Pan American Games. Central America ( es, América Central or ) is a subregion of the Americas. Its boundaries are defined as bordering the United States to the north, Colombia to the south, the Caribbean Sea to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Field Hockey At The 2023 Central American And Caribbean Games
Field hockey at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games will be held from 23 June to 8 July 2023 at Estadio Del Parque El Este in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Due to infrastructure and calendar issues the field hockey event was relocated from San Salvador, El Salvador to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. The top two teams in each tournament will qualify for the 2023 Pan American Games. Qualification The host country, the top five teams from the previous edition of the Central American and Caribbean Games and the top two teams from the qualifying competition qualified for the 2023 edition. The field hockey competitions at the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games took place at the High Performance Center in Veracruz, Mexico, from 15 to 24 November 2014. There were two competitions, one each for men and women. Seven national teams competed in the men's tournament and eight in the women's event. The top two teams in each tournament qualified to compete at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada.
