Fibes, Oh Fibes!
Fibes, Oh Fibes! is a Sweden, Swedish funk rock band that rose to fame in early 2004. The trio, from Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden, was formed in 2001. Their first release was a self-titled EP in 2003. The band name is from drum company Fibes Drums, of which the band had a beloved drumset in its early career. In May 2004, their first album, ''Still Fresh'', was released. In August 2006, they released a second album, ''Emotional''. In autumn 2009, the band released the album ''1987'', on which they collaborated with Gary Kemp, Pontus Winnberg, Petter Winberg and Oskar Linnros. The album also contains duets with Björn Skifs and Kim Wilde. The album won Pop Album of the Year at the 2010 Grammis Awards. Fibes, Oh Fibes! take their inspiration from the soft rock genre of artists like Phil Collins, Lionel Richie and Toto (band), Toto. Oskar Linnros
Hans Oskar "Kihlen" Linnros (born August 15, 1983 in Sundbyberg, Sweden) is a Swedish musician. He was part of the alternative hip hop band Snook alongside Daniel Adams-Ray, before going solo and releasing his solo studio debut album '' Vilja bli'' that reached number 2 on the Swedish Albums Chart. The track "Från och med Du" from the album reached the top of Sverigetopplistan, the official Swedish Singles Chart. Oskar Linnros has also produced a number of other artists including acts Petter, Fibes, Oh Fibes! and Veronica Maggio. Grammis
The Grammis are music awards presented annually to musicians and songwriters in Sweden. The oldest Swedish music awards, they were instituted as a local equivalent of the Grammy Awards given in the United States. The awards ceremony is generally held each year in February in Stockholm. The awards were established in 1969 and awarded until 1972 when they were cancelled, then revived in 1987. There are around 20 different award categories, which have changed over the years. Björn Nils Olof Skifs (; born 20 April 1947) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, actor, and screenwriter. Career Björn Skifs formed his first musical group, Slam Creepers, in 1962. Slam Creepers split in 1969 and Skifs went on to form a new band, Blåblus (a farmer's or workman's shirt (blus, blouse) made from blue (blå, blue) fabric - a pun (blues)) in 1972.
