Fiat Toro
The Fiat Toro is a pickup truck made by Fiat in Brazil. It is derived from the Fiat FCC4 Concept and is based on the Small Wide 4×4 architecture shared with the Jeep Renegade, Jeep Compass, and the Fiat 500X. In several markets in Latin America including Colombia, the Toro is sold as the Ram 1000, using the Ram Trucks marque. History The Fiat Toro was developed under the codename ''Type 226'', intended as the second product of the FCA factory in Goiana, Pernambuco, Brazil. It became the country's first medium-compact pickup since the Renault Duster Oroch. In May 2016, the Toro won a Red Dot Design Award. World Gasoline Engine
The World Gasoline Engine is a family of straight-4 piston engines, based on the Global Engine Alliance design. Three engines have been produced: a 1.8 L, a 2.0 L, and a 2.4 L. With 1.8 L variant being used on vehicles sold outside of the United States. The initial design of the engine block and cylinder head was handled by Hyundai as part of the Global Engine Alliance. The Latin New Car Assessment Programme (Latin NCAP) is an automobile safety assessment programme for Latin America and the Caribbean. Founded in 2010, it offers independent information to consumers about the safety levels of new cars in the market. Latin NCAP tests are based in international renown methodologies, with vehicles awarded with a safety rating between 0 and 5 stars, indicating the protection the cars offer to adult and child occupants.
