Feyenoord Ghana
West African Football Academy (WAFA) Sporting Club is a Ghanaian professional football club based near Sogakope in the Volta Region that was founded by Feyenoord from Rotterdam. They are competing in the Ghana Premier League. The 2016–17 season was a successful one for WAFA as the side finished second in the Premier League, beating Hearts of Oak 5–0 along the way. History Feyenoord's chairman Jorien van den Herik was given permission for the opening of Feyenoord's own football academy in the Ghanaian settlement of Gomoa Fetteh, just outside the capital Accra. The go-ahead was given by the Chief of Fetteh in 1998 and the academy was opened in October 1999. At Feyenoord Academy, young talented African footballers could work on their football skills. South Tongu District
South Tongu District is one of the eighteen districts in Volta Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly on 10 March 1989, which was created from the former Tongu District Council, which was established by Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 1466. Mohammed Abubakari
Mohammed Abubakari (born 15 February 1986) is a Ghanaian footballer who plays as a midfielder. Career Abubakari previously played for Fetteh Football Academy in Ghana and for Dutch side Feyenoord. Abubakari became the first player who moved from Ghanaian farmer team Feyenoord Academy to the Dutch side Feyenoord on 17 February 2006. Mohammed Karim Samed Abdul (born 3 May 2002) is a Ghanaian footballer who currently plays as a defender for Ghana Premier League side WAFA. Eric Asamany (born 14 June 1997) is a Ghanaian footballer who currently plays as a forward for Ghana Premier League side WAFA. Career 2019–20 season Asamany started his professional career with West African Football Academy, drafted into the senior team in May 2019 and made his debut in the 2019 GFA Committee Special Competition. He played his first match for WAFA on 5 May 2019 after coming on in the 80th minute for Forson Amankwaah in a 4–0 away loss to Accra Hearts of Oak. Red Bull Ghana was a Ghanaian professional football club and academy based in Sogakope, South Tongu District, Ghana, which was founded in 2008 and abolished in 2014.
