''Fetch the Vet'' is a British stop motion children's television programme created by Gail Penston and Stephen Thraves. 26 episodes were produced by Cosgrove Hall Films, Flextech Television, and London Weekend Television for ITV (TV network), ITV's children's strand CITV. The show concerned Tom Fetch, who lived in the countryside working as a vet and was respected by everyone because of his duties to help cure injured or sick animals. Stephen Thraves
Stephen Thraves is a British children's author. The author of over 200 books, he is the creator of ''Fetch the Vet'', a 26 episode animation for pre-school which aired on ITV (TV channel), ITV between 1999 and 2001. He also wrote eight ''The Famous Five (novel series), Famous Five'' adventure game books based on Enid Blyton's major series, published by Hodder & Stoughton in the 1980s.
