Danielle Ferland (born January 31, 1971) is an American actress and singer, best known for originating the role of Little Red Ridinghood in Stephen Sondheim's ''Into the Woods'' on Broadway. Career Ferland attended Frank Scott Bunnell High School in Stratford, Connecticut, from 1983–1987 and attended New York University. She made her Broadway debut at age 13 as Louise in Stephen Sondheim's '' Sunday in the Park with George'' (1984). She next appeared off-Broadway in ''Paradise!'' (1985). Gary Joseph Ferland (born May 10, 1951, in Washington D.C.) is an American astrophysicist. He is a professor of Physics and Astronomy at The University of Kentucky. He joined the University of TexasAstronomy Departmentin 1973 where he received hiPh.D.in 1978, studying the 1975 explosion of V1500 Cygni at McDonald Observatory. From 1978 to 1980 he was at the Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge where he worked with Martin Rees on International Ultraviolet Explorer observations of radio galaxies He joined the faculty of the University of Kentucky in 1980. The American Astronomical Society's Astronomy Genealogy Project lists the 17 PhDs he has supervised. Jean-Baptiste-Antoine Ferland (25 December 1805 in Montreal – 11 January 1865 in Quebec City) was a French Canadian historian. Life He studied at the college of Nicolet and was ordained 1828. He ministered to country parishes until 1841, when he was made director of studies in the college of Nicolet. He became its superior in 1848. Being named a member of the council of the Bishop of Quebec, he took up his residence in that city, where he was also chaplain to the English garrison. From his college days he had devoted himself to the study of Canadian history; the numerous notes which he collected had made him one of the most learned men of the country. It was not, however, until he had reached the age of forty that he thought of writing a history of Canada. Jean-Pierre Ferland, (born June 24, 1934, in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Life and career Ferland began work with Radio-Canada in 1956 as an accountant, but his career there was short lived. Shortly after, he began taking guitar lessons with Stephen Fentock and began to fall in love with music, writing his first musical pieces. After two years of work with Radio-Canada, in February 1958, he began recording the first songs that would eventually comprise his first album '' Jean-Pierre''. However, it was not until 1961 that he became known to the public, with the release of his second album, '' Rendez-vous à La Coda''. Jonathan Nicolas Camil Ferland (born February 9, 1983) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward currently playing for Saint-Georges Cool FM 103.5 in the LNAH. Before this, Ferland played two seasons with the Belfast Giants in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). Martin Ferland (born November 8, 1970) is a Canadian curler from Trois-Rivières, Quebec. Career Born in Drummondville, Quebec, Ferland was a member of the 2007 Quebec champion team, that was skipped by Pierre Charette. Ferland threw last stones for the team.
