Fer (comics)
José Antonio Fernández Fernández (May 16, 1949 – September 14, 2020), better known as Fer, was a Spanish comic artist. He was the main promoter of the Gat Perich International Humor Prize, an award that he received in 2005. Biography He was born in Mansilla de las Mulas, León. His family moved to Mollet del Vallès from León when he was four years old. He graduated in History and became a teacher. He started drawing in the magazines ''Mata Ratos'', ''En Patufet'' and ''Oriflama ''Oriflamme'' was a 56-gun ship of the line of the French Navy. She was ordered on 16 February 1743 and built at Toulon Dockyard by engineer-constructor Pierre-Blaise Coulomb, and launched on 30 October 1744. Mansilla De Las Mulas
Mansilla de las Mulas (), ''Mansiella'' in Leonese language, is a municipality located in the province of León, Castile and León, Spain. Gat Perich
The Gat Perich International Humor Prize, (Premi Internacional d'Humor Gat Perich) is an international award to cartoonists or humorists given in memory of Spanish cartoonist Jaume Perich (1941–1995). It has been awarded since 1995. The prize consists in a silver figure of one of the famous cats drawn by Perich, holding a pencil. It has also been awarded at the Gat Perich Honours Awards series, recognising the career and work of veteran cartoonists and humorists who have become benchmarks for the contemporary generations. Mollet Del Vallès
Mollet del Vallès () is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Vallès Oriental in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the valley of the Besòs river, and is an important communications hub from Barcelona towards the north: the AP-7 Motorway passes through the municipality, as do the RENFE railway lines to Vic and Puigcerdà and to Girona and Portbou. ''En Patufet'' was an illustrated children's magazine, written in Catalan, published in Barcelona ( Spain), between 1904 and 1938. Later, between 1968 and 1973, it was resumed under the name ''Patufet''. It had a great popularity, to the point that the word ''patufet'' was used generically to refer to the illustrated magazines for children, now called comics. It was the Catalan weekly magazine with the most circulation (65,000) and readers weekly (325,000). The figure of ''Patufet'' on the magazine was first drawn by Antonio Montañola. Oriflama (magazine)
''Oriflamme'' was a 56-gun ship of the line of the French Navy. She was ordered on 16 February 1743 and built at Toulon Dockyard by engineer-constructor Pierre-Blaise Coulomb, and launched on 30 October 1744. She carried 24 x 18-pounder guns on her lower deck, 26 x 8-pounder guns on her upper deck, and 6 x 4-pounder guns on her quarterdeck (although the latter smaller guns were removed when she was rebuilt at Toulon from August 1756 to July 1757). The ship was named for the oriflamme, a long, multi-tailed red banner that was historically the battle standard of the Capetian dynasty. French career On 16 April 1746, ''Oriflamme'' recaptured the 24-gun frigate ''Volage'', that the 70-gun HMS ''Stirling Castle'' had taken the day before. El Papus
''El Papus'' was a weekly anarchist satirical magazine which existed between 1973 and 1987. Although it was subject to various negative events, it managed to continue and became one of the most popular publications in Spain. History and profile ''El Papus'' was first published in October 1973. The founding publisher was ELF Ediciones, a subsidiary of the La Vanguardia group which also produced another satirical magazine ''Barrabás''. From the issue numbered 45 dated August 1974 Ediciones Amaika became its publisher which was established by Xavier de Echarri, an editor of the magazine, in June 1974. Carlos Navarro was the sole editor of ''El Papus'' which had an anarchist political stance and contained graphic humor which covered nearly seventy percent of its pages. (Spanish for "''Thursday''") is a Spanish weekly satirical magazine based in Barcelona. Throughout most of its life, ''El Juevess masthead has featured the tagline "" ("''the magazine that comes out on Wednesdays''"). Its mascot is a nameless jester, known simply as "''el bufón''", who is always fully naked, except for his bell-bearing hat.
