Felicity Johnson (golfer)
Felicity Johnson (born 26 February 1987) is an English professional golfer who has played on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour. Johnson started playing golf at five years old and left school at 16 to pursue an amateur career. This was successful and she was named ''The Daily Telegraph'' Lady Golfer of the Year in 2005 after winning the 2005 English Women's Amateur Championship, was a member of the 2005 winning Vagliano Trophy team, and won 2005 Spirit International as part of the England Team. Johnson turned professional in 2006 in and finished third at the 2008 ANZ Ladies Masters, the 2008 Göteborg Masters and the 2009 SAS Ladies Masters before earning her maiden win at the 2009 Tenerife Ladies Open at Golf Costa Adeje. 2005 European Ladies' Team Championship
The 2005 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 5–9 July at Karlstad Golf Club in Karlstad, Sweden. It was the 24th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Venue The hosting Karlstad Golf Club was founded in 1957. The first nine holes of the course, situated 8 kilometres north of the city center of Karlstad, the largest city in the province Värmland in Sweden, was designed by Nils Skiöld and opened in 1959. The second nine holes opened in 1968. Another nine holes, designed by Sune Linde, was completed in 1989 and made it possible to combine two of the three different nine hole courses for an 18 hole round, with par 72 on all available combinations. European Ladies' Team Championship
The European Ladies' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1959. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Format Currently, the championship is contested by up to 20 teams, each of 6 players. The format consists of two rounds of strokeplay, out of which the five lowest scores from each team's six players will count each day. The total addition of the five lowest scores will constitute the team's score and determine the teams qualified for the last three rounds of matchplay. Only teams in contention for a medal will play a match format of two foursomes and five singles, while the other teams will play a one foursome and four singles match format. The European Girls' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women up to 18 organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1991. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1991 to 1999 and has been played annually since 1999. The Brisbane Invitational was an annual women's golf tournament held at McLeod Country Golf Club in Brisbane, Australia. It was part of the ALPG Tour between 2015 and 2019. When the tournament started in 2015 it was the first professional women's golf tournament held in Brisbane for over 35 years. The WPGA Tour of Australasia, formerly known as the ALPG Tour, is a professional golf tour for women which is based in Australia. WPGA stands for Women's Professional Golfers' Association. 2011 Ladies European Tour
The 2011 Ladies European Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world which took place from February through December 2011. The tournaments were sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). The tour featured 24 official money events, as well as the Tenerife Ladies Match Play, the European Nations Cup and the Solheim Cup. Ai Miyazato won the Order of Merit with earnings of €363,080, despite only playing in two events. Rebecca Dawn Brewerton (born 20 October 1982) is a Welsh professional golfer and a member of the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour. Amateur career Brewerton was born in St Asaph, Wales. She had a successful amateur career. She was Welsh Girls Champion in 1997 and 1998 and Welsh Ladies' Amateur Champion in 1999 and 2001. She won the Ladies' British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship in 1999 and 2002, a year she also won the European Ladies Amateur Championship Brewerton represented Great Britain and Ireland in the Curtis Cup in 2000, and the Vagliano Trophy in 2001 and 2003.
