Fedjefjorden
Fedjefjorden is a fjord in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the municipalities of Fedje, Austrheim, and Øygarden. The fjord has a width of about and extends about from Holmengrå Lighthouse (at the northern end) to the island of Seløy (at the southern end) where it joins the Hjeltefjorden which flows further south towards Bergen. The fjord flows between several large islands and many small islets. The island of Fedje lies on the west side of the fjord and the islands of Fosnøyna and Radøy lie along the eastern side of the fjord. Just south of the island of Fedje, the fjord opens up westwards to the ocean through the wide Fedjeosen. Fedje is an island municipality in the Nordhordland region of Vestland county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Fedje. The traditional economic activity of the inhabitants is fishing. The municipality is the 354th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Fedje is the 350th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 502. The municipality's population density is and its population has decreased by 12.8% over the previous 10-year period. The municipality consists of the main island of Fedje which is also surrounded by about 125 smaller islands and rocks mostly north of the main island. The name ''Fedje'' applies both to the main island, the main village, and to all the islands and rocks as a whole municipality. Austrheim is a municipality in the Nordhordland region of Vestland county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Årås. Hjeltefjorden
Hjeltefjorden is a fjord in Vestland county, Norway. The long fjord runs north–south between many islands leading from the open ocean to the city of Bergen. It passes through the municipalities of Fedje, Øygarden, Alver, and Askøy. Its name is derived from ''Hjaltland'', the Old Norse name for Shetland. The main shipping routes from Bergen to Shetland ran through Hjeltefjorden. Hjeltefjorden is a major shipping route into the city of Bergen, and it runs from the island of Fedje in the north to Byfjorden in the south. It is delimited to the west by the islands of Øygarden and Sotra and to the east by the islands of Radøy, Holsnøy, Herdla and Askøy. Fedje (island)
Fedje is the largest island in Fedje Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island is home to almost all of the municipality's residents. The island sits west of the Fedjefjorden, south of the mouth of the Fensfjorden, and north of the islands of Øygarden. The North Sea lies to the west of the island. The main population center on the island is the village of Fedje on the northern coast of the island. The southern coast of the island is the site of the other village on the island, Stormark. Holmengrå Lighthouse
Holmengrå Lighthouse ( no, Holmengrå fyr) is a coastal lighthouse located in the municipality of Fedje in Vestland county, Norway. It sits on a tiny island in the mouth of the Fensfjorden and Fedjefjorden, near a busy shipping lane headed to the Mongstad industrial area. History The lighthouse was established in 1892. Radøy is an island in Vestland county, Norway. It is located east of Fedjefjorden in Alver Municipality. The island has an area of . The highest point of the island is the tall ''Morkefjellet''. The island lies in the Nordhordland region of the county. The Hjeltefjorden and Radfjorden flow along the western coast and the Lurefjorden and Radsundet flow along the eastern coast. Fosnøyna
Fosnøyna or Fosnøy is an island in the municipality of Austrheim in Vestland county, Norway. The island makes up the majority of the land area of the municipality. The island is located east of the Fedjefjorden and south of the Fensfjorden. The island of Radøy lies just south of Fosnøyna and the mainland of the Lindås peninsula lies immediately to the east of Fosnøyna. The highest point on the island is the high Bredvikvarden. The island has some trees on it, but the northern part is fairly barren and rocky while the southern part is more marshy. There are two larger villages on the island: the village of Austrheim and the municipal centre of Årås. The island is connected to the mainland road network by two bridges. Vestland is a county in Norway established on 1 January 2020. The county is located in Western Norway and it is centred around the city of Bergen, Norway's second largest city.
