The Federação Pernambucana de Futebol, once named ''Liga Esportiva Pernambucana'', also known by the acronym FPF, organizes and administrates the Campeonato Pernambucano, the Copa Pernambuco, the Campeonato Pernambucano Série A2 and the Campeonato Pernambucano Série A3). It was founded in 1915. Carlos Alberto Oliveira was the president of FPF until his death on August 29, 2011 being replaced by Evandro Carvalho. 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B
The 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B (officially the Brasileirão SportingBet - Série B 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the second division. The competition began on 8 April and ended on 6 November. Twenty teams competed in the tournament, twelve returning from the 2021 season, four promoted from the 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C (Criciúma, Ituano, Novorizontino and Tombense), and four relegated from the 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Bahia, Chapecoense, Grêmio and Sport). The top four teams were promoted to the 2023 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Cruzeiro became the first club to be promoted on 21 September 2022 after a 3–0 win against Vasco da Gama. 2022 Copa Do Brasil
The 2022 Copa do Brasil (officially the Copa Intelbras do Brasil 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was the 34th edition of the Copa do Brasil football competition. It was held between 22 February and 19 October 2022. The competition was contested by 92 teams, either qualified by participating in their respective state championships (70), by the 2022 CBF ranking (10), by the 2021 Copa do Nordeste (1), by the 2021 Copa Verde (1), by the 2021 Série B (1) or those qualified for 2022 Copa Libertadores (9). Atlético Mineiro were the defending champions but they were eliminated in the Round of 16. Tied 1–1 on aggregate, Flamengo defeated Corinthians 6–5 on penalties in the finals to win their fourth title. Central Sport Club, usually known simply as Central, is a Brazilian football club. Based in Caruaru, Pernambuco state, the club competes in the Série D. History On June 15, 1919, at Sociedade Musical Comercial Caruaruense, the club was founded by Francisco Porto de Oliveira and the club name was a suggestion by Severino Bezerra. The 2022 Campeonato Pernambucano (officially the Pernambucano Betsson 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was the 108th edition of the state championship of Pernambuco organized by Federação Pernambucana de Futebol, FPF. The championship began on 22 January and ended on 30 April 2022. In the first stage, Sete de Setembro Esporte Clube, Sete de Setembro had three points deducted for fielding the ineligible player José Ermeson da Silva Alves, Bililiu in the match Sete de Setembro v Náutico played on 1 February 2022 (2nd round). Camaragibe
Camaragibe (population 156,736) is a city in northeastern Brazil, in the State of Pernambuco. It lies near Recife at 8.00° South, 35.04° West. Currently, Camaragibe is run by Nadegi Queiroz (from the political party Republicans) and Délio Junior (The Vice-mayor). The lands now belonging to the city were used as a reserve of wood, and then for sugar planting. It was populated by natives, until the arrival of Portuguese with Duarte Coelho Pereira, around 1500. After the Portuguese arrival, however, the natives were not completely driven from the area. Instead, they lived "peacefully" with the invaders.
