Stan Freberg
Stan Freberg (born Stanley Friberg; August 7, 1926 – April 7, 2015) was an American actor, author, comedian, musician, radio personality, puppeteer and advertising creative director. His best-known works include " St. George and the Dragonet", '' Stan Freberg Presents the United States of America'', his role on the television series ''Time for Beany'', multiple characters in the Looney Tunes such as Pete Puma and Bertie, and a number of classic television commercials. Early and personal life Freberg was born Stanley Friberg on August 7, 1926 in Pasadena, California, the son of Evelyn Dorothy (née Conner), a housewife, and Victor Richard Friberg (later Freberg), a Baptist minister. Freberg was of Swedish and Irish descent. Vernon Loring "Verne" Langdon (September 15, 1941 – January 1, 2011) was an American mask maker, musician, magician, circus clown, make-up artist, and wrestler. He was also a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. Biography Born in Oakland, California, Langdon was known in cult monster mask circles as the creative force behind the Don Post Studios "Calendar Masks" (1963 to 1968). He was also the creator of the most sought-after collector's mask, "The Zombie", and was creator-producer of the cult classic Decca LP ''An Evening With Boris Karloff And His Friends''. Bob Chitester (October 30, 1937 – May 8, 2021) was an American Television Executive and Producer, best known for creating the 10-hour, ten-part series starring economist Milton Friedman called '' Free to Choose''. Biography Bob Chitester was born in 1937 in rural Pennsylvania, son of a lineman named Palmer R. Chitester. Chitester attended the University of Michigan for both his B.A. as well as M.A. degrees in Media, Radio and Television. Chitester created the first public television station in Erie, Pennsylvania in the late 1960s, and called it WQLN for "Question and Learn." In the mid-1970's, Chitester became interested in making a counter series to the program hosted by left-liberal economist John Kenneth Galbraith, which was called The Age of Uncertainty and first aired in 1977.
