"Fearless" is the debut single recorded by South Korean girl group Le Sserafim for their debut extended play (EP) of the same name. It was released as the EP's lead single by Source Music on May 2, 2022. The Japanese version was pre-released as digital single on December 15, 2022 and was released on January 25, 2023, as the group's Japanese debut single by EMI Records and Universal Music Japan. Background and release On March 14, 2022, Source Music announced it would be debuting a new girl group in collaboration with Hybe Corporation. A week later, Hybe Corporation announced the group would be debuting in May. On April 13, it was announced the group would be releasing their debut extended play ''Fearless'' on May 2. Le Sserafim ( ; ; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean girl group formed by Source Music and Hybe Corporation. The group consists of five members: Sakura, Kim Chae-won, Huh Yun-jin, Kazuha and Hong Eun-chae. Originally a sextet, Kim Ga-ram left the group on July 20, 2022, after the termination of her exclusive contract. Le Sserafim debuted on May 2, 2022, with the release of their first extended play, ''Fearless.'' Name The group's name, Le Sserafim, is an anagram of the phrase "I'm Fearless". In music theory, the key of a piece is the group of pitches, or scale, that forms the basis of a musical composition in classical, Western art, and Western pop music.
