Fausto Budicin
Fausto Budicin (born 1 May 1981) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player who was most recently manager of Croatian First Football League club Rijeka Managerial career On 27 March 2019, Budicin was appointed new manager at Croatian Third Football League club Orijent 1919. His first success at Orijent bench came at the end of the season; Orijent gained promotion to the second-tier Druga HNL finishing third in the 2018–19 Treća HNL West season. In the club's inaugural second league season, Budicin led the squad to finishing in third at the league table in March 2020, when the championship was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Croatia. The Hrvatska nogometna liga () ( en, Croatian football league), also known as HNL or for sponsorship reasons the SuperSport HNL, is the top Croatian professional football (soccer), football league competition, established in 1992. Previously, it was called Prva Hrvatska nogometna liga (First Croatian Football League), but a league structure reorganization from 2022–23 led to name changes for the three top league levels. The Croatian Football Super Cup is a Association football, football match between the winners of the Croatian national Croatian Football League, top league and Croatian Football Cup, football cup. The Super Cup is always held at the beginning of a new football season, and is only held when different clubs win the two most important competitions in the previous season (i.e. the match is not played when a club completes Double (association football), the domestic double). The Hrvatski nogometni kup ( eng, Croatian football cup), also colloquially known as Rabuzinovo sunce (), is an annually held football tournament for Croatian football clubs and is the second most important competition in Croatian football after the HNL championship. It is governed by the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) and usually runs from late August to late May. Cup winners automatically qualify for next season's UEFA Europa Conference League, except when cup winners are also Prva HNL champions, in which case their berth in the Europa Conference League goes to the best placed team in the Prva HNL who haven't qualified for the UEFA competitions through their league performance. Serse Cosmi (born 5 May 1958) is an Italian football coach, most recently in charge of Rijeka. Career Early career Cosmi was born in 1958 in Ponte San Giovanni, a Perugia ''frazione''. His father, a cycling fan, called him Serse after Fausto Coppi's brother, a cyclist himself, who died following a fall during a sprint. He worked nine years as primary school teacher, and played amateur football during his freetime for local teams such as Deruta, Cannara, Spello and Pontevecchio, in the role of midfielder. Ivan Prelec (born 24 July 1987) is a Croatian professional football manager who is the manager of Danish Superliga club Vejle. Managerial career He started as a manager in 2006, with only 19 years. He led the youth team of Dinamo Zagreb in 2014, while later he became the manager of the U17 team. In 2017, he went to HNK Gorica, where, at first, he served as an assistant manager, but in February 2018, he was named the head coach of the club. Croatia Zmijavci is a professional football club from Zmijavci, Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia, currently playing in the second division Druga HNL after their 2019 promotion. Zmijavci are one of several Dalmatian football teams with a development agreement with Hajduk Split, the largest football club in the area, having signed on in 2016. COVID-19 Pandemic In Croatia
The COVID-19 pandemic in Croatia has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The first case in the Republic of Croatia was reported in Zagreb on 25 February, when a patient who had come from Italy was tested positive.
