Fred Lorenzen
Frederick Lorenzen Jr. (born December 30, 1934), nicknamed The Golden Boy, Fast Freddie, The Elmhurst Express and Fearless Freddy, is a former NASCAR driver from Elmhurst, Illinois. Active from 1958 to 1972, he won 26 races including 1965 Daytona 500. Early life Fred Lorenzen was 15 years of age when he and his Elmhurst, Illinois friends competed in a contest to see who could flip a 1937 Plymouth over first by cranking it around in circles. Lorenzen claimed to be the victor of that confrontation. NASCAR Early career After graduating from high school, Lorenzen began racing modifieds and late models, and made his NASCAR debut in 1956 at Langhorne Speedway, finishing 26th after suffering a broken fuel pump, winning $25. He moved to a USAC stock car, and won the 1958 and 1959 championships driving his Talarico Bros. built Chevrolet. Fred Rodriguez
Fred "Freddie" Rodriguez (born September 3, 1973) is an American former professional road racing cyclist. His nickname, ''Fast Freddie'', is due to his reputation as a sprint specialist. Rodriguez won the United States National Road Race Championships four times, and won four stages at the Tour de Georgia. He competed in the men's individual road race at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Other notable results include high stage finishes in all three Grand Tours as well as second places in both in both Milan–San Remo and Gent–Wevelgem in 2002. Rodriguez participated in all three Grand Tours including the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España one time each where he had multiple stage podiums in the Vuelta and won stage 9 of the 2004 Giro d'Italia. He started the Tour de France seven times finishing it twice, and while he never won any stages he was often competitive on sprint stages with several top 5's. Jonathan Dewayne "Fast Freddie" Smith (born November 28, 1981 in Argyle, Georgia) is a free agent wide receiver in the National Football League. Smith was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round with the 214th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft. The Bills selected him out of . College career Smith was a successful college wide receiver and kick returner at Georgia Tech from 2001 to 2003. While at Georgia Tech, he majored in Management. Frederick Burdette Spencer (born December 20, 1961), sometimes known by the nickname Fast Freddie, is an American former world champion motorcycle racer. Spencer is regarded as one of the greatest motorcycle racers of the early 1980s. Motorcycle racing career Early years Spencer was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was a racing prodigy who began racing at the age of four, competing in dirt track events near his hometown of Shreveport. After winning the 1978 250cc U.S. National Novice Class Road Racing Championship for first year professionals, Spencer was contracted to ride for the American Honda racing team in the AMA Superbike Championship. Alfred Goulet (June 5, 1875 – March 17, 1961) was a Canadian businessman and political figure in Ontario. He represented Russell in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1922 to 1923 and Russell in the House of Commons of Canada from 1925 to 1945 as a Liberal member. ''Fast Freddie, The Widow and Me'' is a 2011 one-off Christmas television special, made by STV Studios and broadcast by ITV on Tuesday 27 December 2011. The story centres on a wealthy car dealer who befriends a terminally ill teenager and makes his Christmas wish come true. Plot Jonathan Donald (Laurence Fox) is a wealthy car dealer who, having been convicted of drink driving, is sentenced to 60 hours of community service at The Moonbeam Club for young adults who have social and behavioural difficulties. At the club, Jonathan meets recently widowed Laura Cooper (Sarah Smart) but Laura doesn't like Jonathan's attitude towards the club and soon tells him to leave. Having failed to meet the terms of his sentence, Jonathan is forced to return by the court, with the sentence extended to 100 hours, and soon befriends 19-year-old Freddie Copeland (Jack McMullen), a gadget expert at the club.
