Farshid Karimi
Farshid Karimi ( fa, فرشید كریمی, born May 10, 1976) is a retired Iranian football goalkeeper. He is older brother of Ali Karimi. Club career Persepolis He started his career with Persepolis in 2000 when the club needed a goalkeeper, and he was introduced to 2007–08 Ali Parvin by Sadegh Doroudgar to be on trial with the club. He joined Persepolis and played 8 seasons for them. He was Persepolis's first choice goalkeeper during 2005–06 and 2006–07 seasons, and he became one of the key players of the team in the 2005–06 Hazfi Cup. In the 2007–08 season, he became a benchwarmer after Hassan Roudbarian and Mehdi Vaezi and played just one match, which was his last appearance for Persepolis. Lahijan
Lahijan ( fa, لاهیجان, Lāhijān, also known as, Lāyjon in Gilaki) is a city near the Caspian Sea and the capital of Lahijan County, Gilan Province, Iran. Football Club Aboomoslem Khorasan ( fa, باشگاه فوتبال ابومسلم خراسان, ''Bashgah-e Futbal-e Abumislâm-e Xerasan''), commonly known as Aboomoslem, is an Iranian football club based in Mashhad, Razavi Khorasan, that competes in the League 3. Hazfi Cup (Jām-e Hazfi; ) is the Iranian football knockout cup competition, run by the Iranian Football Federation. The Iranian football league was not held during the 1980s, hence the winner of Hazfi Cup represented Iran in the Asian Club Championship. After the revive of the league system, the champion of Iranian league qualified for Asian Club Championship and the winner of Hazfi Cup ran for Asian Cup Winners' Cup. However, the Asian Cup Winners' Cup merged with the Asian Champions Cup in 2002–03 to form the AFC Champions League and Iran had been initially given two (and later four) slots in this competitions. The IRIFF decided to award one of Iran's AFC Champions League spots to the winner of the Hazfi Cup, and since then, the winners of Hazfi Cup have always been allocated a spot in the AFC Champions League. Azadegan League
The Azadegan League ( fa, ليگ آزادگان, ''Lig-e Âzâdegân''), also known as League 1 ( fa, لیگ یک, ''Lig-e Yek''), is the second highest division of professional football in Iran. It was the top-level football league in Iran from its foundation in 1991 until 2001, when the Persian Gulf Pro League was established. Each year, the top finishing teams in the Azadegan League are promoted to the Persian Gulf Pro League, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to League 2. Steel Azin Football Club ( fa, باشگاه فوتبال استيل آذین, ''Bashgah-e Futbal-e Estil Âzin'') was an Iranian football club based in Tehran, Iran. Amir Abedini ( fa, امیر عابدینی; born Hassan Abedini on 13 December 1949) is an Iranian politician, football club chairman, former professional footballer and member of the City Council of Tehran. Ali Nazarmohammadi ( fa, علی نظر محمدی) born, 1981 is a retired Iranian footballer and coach who recently managed Khooneh be Khooneh. Career He started his football career in the youth team of Esteghlal Rasht and then moved to Malavan because of army services. After playing a couple of seasons for Malavan he moved to Mes Kerman and helped the team to be promoted to the Iran Pro League. In 2006, he came back to his hometown Rasht and played for Pegah Gilan. 2008–09 Persian Gulf Cup
The 2008–09 Persian Gulf Cup (also known as Iran Pro League) was the 26th season of Iran's Football League and eighth as Iran Pro League since its establishment in 2001. Persepolis were the defending champions. The season featured 15 teams from the 2007–08 Persian Gulf Cup and two new teams promoted from the 2007–08 Azadegan League: Payam Mashhad as champions and Foolad. Damash replaced Pegah. The league started on 4 August 2008 and ended on 26 April 2009. Esteghlal won the Pro League title for the second time in their history (total seventh Iranian title).
