Uppi á Brekku
''Uppi 2'' (titled Upendra 2 in Telugu) is a 2015 Indian Kannada-language psychological thriller film written, directed and starring Upendra in the lead role, and is a sequel to his 1999 film ''Upendra'', and was produced under his production company, Upendra Productions. Alongside Upendra, the film stars Kristina Akheeva and Parul Yadav in lead roles. The supporting cast features Sayaji Shinde, Shobhraj, Satyajit, Bank Janardhan and Mimicry Dayanand. The soundtrack and film score were composed by Gurukiran. The dubbed Telugu version titled ''Upendra 2'', was released the same day. Although the film got mixed response because of its confusing story-line and screenplay, it was highly profitable at the box office and completed 50 days of run. Faroe Islands Cup
The Faroe Islands Cup (, literally the Prime Minister Cup) is the main football cup competition in the Faroe Islands. The first edition was played in 1955. History The HB–TB decade The first decade of the competition was marked by the alternance of titles between HB and TB. Only in its eleventh year, the cup saw a different champion, with B36 defeating rivals HB in the final. Subsequent years In the subsequent editions, the other former finalists also got their first titles; KÍ in 1966, and VB in 1974. 1970 was the only time a final was not played, as the Faroe Islands Sports Association (ÍSF) choose to annul the competition after KÍ, and later VB, refused to play against HB in Tórshavn. HB continued to enjoy success, but TB won the competition just once after the first decade, in 1977. NSÍ Runavík (women)
NSÍ Runavík is a Faroese football club, playing in Runavík on the island of Eysturoy. It was founded 24 March 1957. In 2003 NSÍ participated for the first time on a European stage. In 2007, the club won the Faroe Islands Premier League for the first time. The club has won the Faroe Islands Cup in 1986, 2002 and 2017. Aside from these instances, NSÍ Runavík featured in the 1980, 1985, 1988, 2004 and 2015 tournament finals. The club plays in yellow and black. Their stadium (Við Løkin) has a capacity of 2,000. It is not approved by UEFA for international play, so Runavík play their UEFA Europa League matches at Tórsvøllur in Tórshavn or Svangaskarð in Toftir. The main sponsor of NSÍ is Navigare, which is based in Runavík near Bakkafrost which is the largest salmon-farming company in the Faroe Islands. EB/Streymur/Skála
EB/Streymur/Skála is a Faroese women's football team based in Skála and Streymnes. The team is the result of a cooperation between the women's football departments of EB/Streymur and Skála ÍF. They won the 1. deild kvinnur for the first time in 2017, ending KÍ's run of 17 consecutive titles. History Before the 2013 season, Skála and EB/Streymur, which finished 5th and 6th, respectively, in the previous season (contested by 10 clubs), unified their women's teams, aiming to compete for the title against the dominant KÍ. Skála was a considerable force in Faroese women's football in the early 1990s, having won the 1. deild kvinnur twice and the Faroese Women's Cup once. Klaksvík
Klaksvík is the second largest town of the Faroe Islands behind Tórshavn. The town is located on Borðoy, which is one of the northernmost islands (the Norðoyar). It is the administrative centre of Klaksvík municipality. History The first settlement at Klaksvík dates back to Viking times, but it was not until the 20th century that the district merged to form a large, modern Faroese town that became a cultural and commercial centre for the Northern Isles and the Faroe Islands as a whole. Við Djúpumýrar (formerly also known as ''Injector Arena'' for sponsorship reasons) is a multi-use stadium in Klaksvík, Faroe Islands. It is mostly used for football matches. Leirvík
Leirvík ( da, Lervig) is a town on the Faroe Islands and was an important regional ferry harbour at the east coast of the second-largest island Eysturoy. Leirvík has a population of 1,048 (2022). It was the only town in the municipality of Leirvík (''Leirvíkar kommuna''), however on 1 January 2009, it merged with Gøtu kommuna to make the new municipality called Eysturkommuna. Leirvík is important for its fishing industry. The Norðoyatunnilin, a submarine tunnel to Klaksvík to the east, was opened in April 2006. A district heating system pulls heat from the sea, increases the heat in a heat pump powered by electricity, and sends the heat to the large buildings in the town. Argja Bóltfelag is a Faroe Islands, Faroese football (soccer), football club based in Argir. The women's team of Argja Bóltfelag play in the 1. deild kvinnur in 2020, the second division in Faroese football. They play their home games at Vika Stadium, in Argir. History Argja Bóltfelag (or AB) was founded on 15 August 1973 by Denmark, Danish resident Johnny Nyby and other football lovers on Argir. In the spring of 1974 AB got a board, composed of Johnny Nyby, Chairman; Fróði Olsen, Co-Chairman; Sonja á Argjaboða, accountant; and Kristian Arge, board writer.
