Farmersville is a city in the San Joaquin Valley in Tulare County, California, United States, just to the east of Visalia, California. The population was 10,588 at the 2010 census, up from 8,737 at the 2000 census. The current population of Farmersville, California is 10,359 based on our projections of the latest US Census estimates. The city helps sponsor many events throughout the year, including a Memorial Day Parade in May, which is well attended and manage to draw around 4,000 visitors from the surrounding areas every Memorial Day. In October a Fall Festival is held on the downtown boulevard. In December a Christmas Tree Lighting event is held at the Old Methodist Church building. Farmersville is a town located in the eastern border of Cattaraugus County, New York, United States. The population was 1,081 at the 2020 census. History The area was first settled ''circa'' 1805, but no permanent settlement was made until approximately 1817. Farmersville became a town in 1821 from part of the "Town of Ischua" (now Franklinville). The town gained notoriety because of the "Farmersville Garbage Scandal" during the 2000 New York State senatorial race between Rudy Giuliani (who later dropped out in favor of Rick Lazio) and Hillary Clinton. Giuliani had made a statement during a campaign press conference that any community that wanted to refuse taking garbage from New York City was free to do so. Farmersville is a city in Collin County, Texas, United States. The population was 3,612 at the 2020 census. History Farmersville originated in 1849 as a settlement on the Jefferson-McKinney Road, and near Republic of Texas National Road. The settlement was named by pioneers William Pickney Chapman & John Hendrex for their chief occupation.
