Far Til Fire
''Far til Fire'', (English Title: ''Father of Four''), is a 1953 Danish family comedy directed by Alice O'Fredericks and starring Ib Schønberg and Birgitte Bruun. The film is based on the comic strip by Kaj Engholm and Olav Hast. It was the inaugural film in a series of eight ''Father of Four'' films made by ASA Films, one each year from 1953 to 1961. Cast *Ib Schønberg as Father; Schønberg also played the role in the first sequel, but unfortunately died before they could finish any further films and was then replaced by Karl Stegger in the next 6 films. Alice O'Fredericks
Alice O'Fredericks (born Mitzi Otha Alice Frederiksen; 8 September 1899 – 18 February 1968) was a Danish actress, screenwriter, and film director. She is best known for directing the series of ''Far til Fire'' (''Father of Four'') comedies and the series of family dramas based on Morten Korch novels. Having written 38 produced screenplays and directed 72 feature films, O'Fredericks was one of the most prolific directors in Danish cinema. O'Fredericks also directed the first Danish films which highlighted women's rights. The Alice Award, presented annually to the Best Female Director at the Copenhagen International Film Festival, is named in her honor. Ib Mossin
Ib Mossin (3 July 1933 – 17 December 2004) was a Danish actor, singer and director best known for his role as heartthrob Peter of the hugely popular ''Far til Fire'' film series. He had his breakthrough as the apprentice Egon in 1953's Farlig Ungdom (''Dangerous Youth''), a stark drama about the crime scene in Copenhagen among adolescents. He also had roles in fourteen of the eighteen Danish films based on novels by Morten Korch. Later in his life he travelled his home country talking about his experiences as an actor and celebrity. In 1999 he published his memoirs "Filmhelt til Tiden" (''Moviehero on Time''). Biography Ib Mossin was born in Frederiksberg. Poul David Reichhardt (2 February 1913 – 31 October 1985) was a Danish actor, well known for his roles in Danish 1940s/1950s comedies. Later on, he also played more serious and varied roles; he has also starred in '' Huset på Christianshavn'', ''Matador'' and as various minor characters in the ''Olsen-banden'' films. For almost thirty years Reichhardt was a leading Danish heroic charmer in movies and partly also on stage.
