''Far Away Trains Passing By'' is the debut studio album by German electronic musician Ulrich Schnauss, released on 14 November 2001 by City Centre Offices. Domino Recording Company reissued ''Far Away Trains Passing By'' with a second disc of six bonus tracks on 1 November 2005. On 13 October 2008, Independiente issued a remastered edition of the album with an extra disc containing the same bonus tracks, along with the track "A Million Miles Away". ''Far Away Trains Passing By'' was remastered again in 2019 for a new reissue, which was released on 3 April 2020 by Scripted Realities; this reissue features the aforementioned seven bonus tracks, along with the tracks "Brooks Was Here" and "A Lie for Breakfast". Ulrich Schnauss
Ulrich Schnauss (born 1977) is a German electronic musician and producer based in London, England. He is best known for being a member of Tangerine Dream from 2014 to 2020. Biography Ulrich Schnauss was born in the northern German seaport of Kiel in 1977. He had piano lessons when he was seven. He became interested in a range of music: My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Tangerine Dream, Chapterhouse, and early bleep and breakbeat tracks. There was not much opportunity to see his musical influences in Kiel, so he moved to Berlin in 1996. Schnauss' musical output began under the pseudonyms of View to the Future and Ethereal 77. These electronica and drum-driven pieces were noticed by Berlin electronica label CCO (City Centre Offices), to which Schnauss sent CDs on a regular basis. Independiente (record Label)
Independiente is a British independent record label formed in 1997 after Andy Macdonald sold his first label Go! Discs to PolyGram in 1996 for a reported £30 million. The label, which is currently dormant, is a division of Concord Music. The label's catalogue included albums by Travis, John Martyn, Nile, Gomez, Embrace, Paul Weller and Martina Topley-Bird. In December 2013, it was confirmed that Embrace had signed to Cooking Vinyl, leaving Independiente with no current artists on its roster. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). Neil Halstead (born 7 October 1970) is an English musician, widely known as singer, primary lyricist, and guitarist of shoegaze band Slowdive. He has been hailed by AllMusic as "one of Britain's most respected songwriters", and '' Time Out'' as "one of Britain's greatest songwriters". Career Halstead was born in Reading, Berkshire, England. Ambient techno is a subgenre of techno that incorporates the atmospheric textures of ambient music with the rhythmic elements and production of techno.
