Fantozzi Va In Pensione
''Fantozzi va in pensione'' ("''Fantozzi Retires''") is a 1988 Italian comedy film directed by Neri Parenti. It is the sixth chapter in the Fantozzi film series of the unlucky clerk Ugo Fantozzi, played by its creator, Paolo Villaggio. Plot The accountant Fantozzi has reached the retirement age and left the work: he is now finally free from the stress of work but boredom seems to take over. He then tries the political activity, adopts a "puppy", goes on a trip to Venice, tries to find new jobs. He eventually came back to work at his former company in exchange for his pension. Neri Parenti
Neri Parenti (born 26 April 1950, in Florence) is an Italian film director and writer. He is known for comedy films, including the series starring Paolo Villaggio playing the character Ugo Fantozzi, and a later series of '' cinepanettoni'' - zany comedy films scheduled for release during the Christmas period. Biography After graduating in political science, he dedicated his career to filmmaking. He became a pupil and assistant of Pasquale Festa Campanile from 1972 to 1979, and also worked for Salvatore Samperi, Steno and Giorgio Capitani. In 1979 he directed his first film, '' The Face with Two Left Feet'', an ironic and comical parody of '' Saturday Night Fever'' with John Travolta, which had been a hit two years earlier. Ugo Fantozzi () is a fictional character, appearing in Italian literature and film, created by Paolo Villaggio. The character, initially part of Villaggio's television monologues, later became protagonist of a series of short stories published at first on newspapers, later in collections, which in turn inspired a successful film series starring Villaggio himself as the main character. Of the many films telling of Fantozzi's misadventures, the most notable and famous were ''Fantozzi'' (1975) and ''Il secondo tragico Fantozzi'' (1976), both directed by Luciano Salce, but many others were produced. Antonio Allocca
Antonio Allocca (24 June 1937 – 31 December 2013) was an Italian character actor. Life and career Born in Portici, Naples, Allocca debuted on stage in 1956, then in 1958 he worked with Eduardo De Filippo at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan in the comedy play ''Pulcinella in cerca della sua fortuna per Napoli''. In 1962 he made his television debut in ''Ditegli sempre di sì'' and ''Napoli Milionaria'', both directed by De Filippo. Very active both on stage and in films mainly in character roles, Allocca enjoyed a late success as in 1988, with the role of the professor of Italian in the three seasons of the Italia 1 television series ''I ragazzi della 3ª C''. Paul Konrad Müller (11 March 1923 – 2 September 2016) was a Swiss actor who appeared mostly in Italian films. His motion picture acting career in Europe spanned a period of 51 years. Acting career Theatre In 1941/1942 he studied acting at the "Conservatoire National Supérieur d`Art Dramatique" in Paris. Until 1944 he had different engagements at theatres in Paris, e. g. "Theatre Pigalle", "Salle Pleyel", "Theatre des Ambassadeurs". From 1944 to 1946 he was called up for military service in the French Army in Indochina shortly before the First Indochina War took place there. He caught malaria during that time and, in consequence of the disease, was left hard of hearing. Gigi Reder (born Luigi Schroeder; 25 March 1928 – 8 October 1998) was an Italian actor and voice actor. He was best known for the role of Filini in the ''Fantozzi'' film series. Biography Born in Naples in to a German father and a Neapolitan mother, Reder moved to Rome where started his career in radio as host and actor of radio-dramas. He also debuted on stage in " teatro dialettale" and vaudeville, then performed in the stage companies of Peppino De Filippo, Turi Ferro, Giorgio Albertazzi and Mario Scaccia. Reder made his film debut in the early 1950s, but became popular in the 1970s as the sidekick of Paolo Villaggio in some successful comedies, such as the ''Fantozzi'' and ''Fracchia'' series. Milena Vukotic (, ; born 23 April 1935) is an Italian former ballerina and a stage, television, and film actress.
