Fantastic Four (2005 Film)
''Fantastic Four'' (sometimes stylized as ''Fantastic 4'') is a 2005 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. It was directed by Tim Story, and released by 20th Century Fox. The film stars Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis, Julian McMahon and Kerry Washington. This was the second live-action ''Fantastic Four'' film to be filmed. A previous attempt, titled ''The Fantastic Four'', was a B-movie produced by Roger Corman that ultimately went unreleased. ''Fantastic Four'' was released in the United States on July 8, 2005. Despite receiving generally negative reviews from critics, it grossed over $333 million worldwide and was a box office success. Tim Story
Timothy Kevin Story (born March 13, 1970) is an African American film director. He is best known for '' Barbershop'' (2002), the ''Fantastic Four'' (2005) and the ''Ride Along'' franchise. He has been nominated for two NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Directing in a Feature Film/Television Movie in 2006 and 2013. He is the founder of The Story Company, an entertainment production company that he started with his wife in 1996. William Hoy is an American film editor with over two dozen feature-film editing credits since 1988. Hoy and Stan Salfas won Satellite Awards for Best Editing for the films ''Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'' (2014) and ''War for the Planet of the Apes'' (2017). Roger William Corman (born April 5, 1926) is an American film director, producer, and actor. He has been called "The Pope of Pop Cinema" and is known as a trailblazer in the world of independent film. A B movie or B film is a low-budget commercial motion picture. In its original usage, during the Golden Age of Hollywood, the term more precisely identified films intended for distribution as the less-publicized bottom half of a double feature (akin to B-sides for recorded music). However, the U.S. production of films intended as second features largely ceased by the end of the 1950s. With the emergence of commercial television at that time, film studio B movie production departments changed into television film production divisions.
