While foreign sources include oblique references to the successive rulers who governed the city states of ancient Kelantan, a clear genealogy only emerges with Mansur Shah who reigned from 1465 to 1526. Kelantan (; Jawi: ; Kelantanese Malay: ''Klate'') is a state in Malaysia. The capital is Kota Bharu and royal seat is Kubang Kerian. The honorific name of the state is ''Darul Naim'' (Jawi: ; "The Blissful Abode"). Kelantan is located in the north-eastern corner of the peninsula. Few traces remain as to the identity of Terengganu's early rulers. Whats is known is that a trading port was established from as early as the 13th century. Terengganu Inscription Stone attests to the 14th century's first muslim ruler of the state, Raja Mandalika, from the Telanai dynasty. In the late 15th century, the Telanai dynasty came to an end when a Pahang Hulubalang, Sri Akar Diraja, killed Tun Telanai for offending Sultan Ahmad of Pahang. It is believed that Terengganu was later ruled by Sri Akar Diraja's family, before they were eventually replaced by the Megat family. From 15th century to 18th century, Terengganu continued to pay allegiance to Sultans of Melaka, Pahang and then Johor. Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail Petra ( Jawi: ; born 20 January 1974) is the current Tengku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of the Malaysian state of Kelantan, heir presumptive and first in line of succession to the throne of Kelantan. Sultan Muhammad V (Jawi alphabet, Jawi: ; born 6 October 1969) has reigned as the 29th Sultan of Kelantan since September 2010 and served as the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia from December 2016 until his abdication in January 2019. Sultan Ismail Petra ibni Almarhum Sultan Yahya Petra ( Jawi: ; 11 November 1949 – 28 September 2019) was the 28th Sultan of Kelantan who reigned from 30 March 1979 to 13 September 2010. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong (, Jawi: ), also known as the Supreme Head of the Federation, the Paramount Ruler or simply as the Agong, and unofficially as the King of Malaysia, is the constitutional monarch and head of state of Malaysia. Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Muhammad IV, , (9 October 1897 – 9 July 1960) was the Sultan of Kelantan from 1944 to 1960. He was born at Istana Balai Besar in Kota Bharu to Sultan Muhammad IV ibni Almarhum Sultan Muhammad III, Sultan of Kelantan and his wife, Sultanah Zainab binti Nik Wan Muhammad Amin. On 22 June 1911, his father appointed him "Tengku Sri Indra Mahkota Kelantan", becoming the heir apparent on 21 April 1921. Kota Gelanggi
Kota Gelanggi is an archaeological site in Johor, Malaysia. It was reported in 2005 and dating to around 650–900 AD and one of the oldest kingdoms on Southeast Asia's Malay Peninsula. The site's existence was announced as a 'discovery' by the Malaysian press on 3 February 2005. Geography The reported site of the ancient city is in the dense jungles of the southern Malaysian state of Johor Darul Takzim, near a forest reserve currently managed as the Linggiu Reservoir by the Public Utilities Board (PUB) of Singapore.
