Family Feud
''Family Feud'' is an American television game show created by Mark Goodson. It features two families who compete to name the most popular answers to survey questions in order to win cash and prizes. The show has had three separate runs, the first of which started in 1976. Its original run from 1976 to 1985 aired on American Broadcasting Company, ABC and in Broadcast syndication, syndication, with Richard Dawson as host. In 1988, the series was revived and aired on both CBS and in syndication with Ray Combs hosting until 1994, with Dawson returning until that version ended in 1995. In 1999, the series was revived through its first-run syndication with four different hosts: Louie Anderson (1999–2002), Richard Karn (2002–2006), John O'Hurley (2006–2010), and Steve Harvey (2010–present). Bert Newton
Albert Watson Newton (23 July 1938 – 30 October 2021) was an Australian media personality. He was a Logie Hall of Fame inductee, quadruple Gold Logie award-winning entertainer and radio, theatre and television personality and presenter. Newton hosted the Logie Awards ceremony on 19 occasions. Newton was known for his collaborations opposite Graham Kennedy and subsequently Don Lane on their respective variety shows as well as appearances with his wife, singer Patti Newton. Their two children are actor Matthew Newton and TV personality Lauren Newton. Bert's Family Feud
''Bert's Family Feud'' was an Australian game show remake based on the American show of the same name. The series was produced by Grundy Television in conjunction with FremantleMedia. It was broadcast on the Nine Network and hosted by Bert Newton. The title refers to host Bert Newton as the show intended to feature celebrities and their families as contestants. A principal motivation for establishing the show was that the Nine Network had the highest-rating Australian television news service for many years, but has seen its viewing audience abandon the network in favour of the Seven Network's ''Seven News'' and ''Today Tonight''. The Seven Network (commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is a major Australian commercial free-to-air Television broadcasting in Australia, television network. It is owned by Seven West Media, Seven West Media Limited, and is one of five main free-to-air television networks in Australia. The network's headquarters are located in Sydney. As of 2014, it is the second-largest network in the country in terms of population reach. John Deeks
John "Deeksie" Deeks (born 1 May 1951) is an Australian television, radio presenter and the long-time voice artist on HSV-7 for the Seven Network (known as the 'voice of Channel 7'), where he has been working since 1975 based in Melbourne. Biography For many years Deeks was the announcer who said "Come on Down!" on the Australian version of game show ''The Price Is Right'', although frequently the program's host Ian Turpie is erroneously named as the person to voice the phrase. Deeks was also the announcer on game show '' Man O Man'' and presented the '' Tattslotto'' lottery draw for many years. Robert Edward Brough (born 1955) is an Australian journalist, television presenter and rugby league coach. Media career Radio Brough began his media career in radio in the 1970s as an announcer at radio station 4VL in Charleville, Queensland. He then moved onto 4WK in Warwick, 4BC in Brisbane and then 4GG on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Keith Gilchrist (born 1941), known professionally as Sandy Scott, is an Australian singer and television compere. He was a regular guest on the television music program ''Bandstand'' and released many records, including the top 25 hit "Wallpaper Roses". Early life Gilchrist was born in 1941 in Bondi, the only son of English migrants. He attended Double Bay Public School and then Cleveland Street High School before working in a bank. Career When Gilchrist started singing with local bands, his neighbour, disc jockey Bob Rogers, suggested he change his name to Sandy Scott. Daryl Paul Somers (né Schulz; 6 August 1951) is an Australian television personality and musician, and a triple Gold Logie award-winner. He rose to national fame as the host and executive producer of the long-running comedy-variety program ''Hey Hey It's Saturday'' and continued his television celebrity and status as host of the live-performance program ''Dancing with the Stars''. Anthony Ferraro Louis Barber (born 28 March 1940) is a British Australian Gold Logie award-winning television game show host, radio announcer singer and media personality, who has been active in the industry since the early 1960s. ''Family Feud'' was an Australian game show based on the American show of the same name. The program ran on the Nine Network from 1978 to 1984, and on the Seven Network from 1990 to 1996. The program has been revived twice, in 2006 and 2014. Gameplay Two families compete, with four members on each team. A host asks representatives of the family questions that have already been answered by a survey of 100 people. Teams score points for correct answers. An answer is considered correct if it is one of the concealed answers on the game board, or judged to be equivalent. More points are given for answers that have been given by more people in the survey (one point per person). Answers must have been given by at least two of the 100 people in order to be included on the board.
