Fame ( th, เฟม) were a Thai rock band famous and popular in the 1980s–1990s. History The band was formed in 1987 by Kraisorn Chamnanveth (Pi), Korkiat (past name: Phinyo) Jareonsatitpong (Nueng), Phattaranatt Raditjirakiat (past name: Nantanatt Chanindeth) (Nut, Nutty), Krit (past name: Anusorn) Makaew (Tum, Ma). This band split from High-school band (this band had Joe-Kong-John from Nuvo). They always played music in Drinken Pub, called as Pouk-Shirt (Collar Shirt). One day, Nut the one of Pouk Shirt in that time, he had big chance to play role in music video of rainbow called Jai-Deow and he presented the band to Itti Palangkul, next time Itti decided to watch the band play in Drinken Pub. After he watched this band, the next day Itti invited Nut and the band to make a contract with RS Promotion. Glam metal (also known as hair metal or pop metal) is a subgenre of heavy metal that features pop-influenced hooks and guitar riffs, upbeat rock anthems, and slow power ballads. It borrows heavily from the fashion and image of 1970s glam rock. Early glam metal evolved directly from the glam rock movement of the 1970s, as visual elements taken from acts such as T. Hi-Rock
Hi-Rock ( th, ไฮ-ร็อก) were a Thai rock band famous and popular especially in the 1990s. History The band was formed in 1984 by Anurak "Tui" Yingnakhon (ตุ้ย: อนุรักษ์ ยิ่งนคร) and Seri "Mac" Vihokhean (แม็ก: เสรี วิหคเหิน) and brought together musicians to add more. The name "Hi-Rock" comes from playing regularly at Rock Pub and the owner was the name given to. Later, when the lead vocalist has resigned, the band has Surat "Pe" Tabwang (เป้: สุรัช ทับวัง) backed up. Hi-Rock played their first public appearance in mid year 1989 with a back-up band for Pathomporn Pathomporn (ปฐมพร ปฐมพร) at Ramkhamhaeng University among tens of thousands of attendances. Thai rock is rock music from Thailand. Thai rock was influenced by rock bands from the United States and United Kingdom. Emerging in the 1980s it flourished with bands like Asanee-Wasan and Micro. It became widely popular in the 1990s. 1970s Rock music emerged from the United States from a Blues rock base, gaining international popularity in the 1960s with bands like The Doors and musician Jimi Hendrix. The Thai rock genre began by Laem Morrison who performed for American soldiers during the Vietnam war. Early rock bands in the genre include V.I.P., led by Lam Morrison, and The Fox musical group. who helped to make rock music mainstream. 1980s Rock bands of this decade include The Olarn Project, Neua Gub Nang, and Rockestra.
