Faith Erin Hicks is a Canadian cartoonist and animator living in Vancouver, British Columbia. Demonology 101
''Demonology 101'' (sometimes abbreviated as ''D101'') is a webcomic written and drawn by Faith Erin Hicks from August 1999 to June 2004. It tells the story of Raven, a 16-year-old demon being raised by a human in ordinary human society. Hicks' first public work gained attention as an early story-focused webcomic, and ran for 700 pages before being concluded. Development Hicks was inspired ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' in the creation of her first webcomic, alongside Jeff Smith's comic ''Bone'' and the ''Gabriel Knight'' video game series. Hicks launched ''Demonology 101'' in August 1999 with its first episode. By 2003, the webcomic consisted of five self-contained stories. Hicks redrew the entirety of Episode 1 in 2002. ''Friends with Boys'' is a 2012 graphic novel and webcomic by Faith Erin Hicks. The book was first published on February 28, 2012, through First Second Books. The company, who had licensed the work prior to its release in any format, gave Hicks permission to post the book online as a webcomic prior to its publication. Synopsis All of her life Maggie has been homeschooled, so when the time comes for her to attend public high school she is understandably nervous. Her many brothers have adapted to public school with few problems, but Maggie can't help but feel a little like a fish out of water. Slave Labor Graphics (SLG) is an independent American comic book publisher, well known for publishing darkly humorous, offbeat comics. A graphic novel is a long-form, fictional work of sequential art.
