Fairview High School is a public, coeducational, comprehensive BVSD secondary school located in Boulder, Colorado, northwest of Denver. More than two thousand students attend the school. It is in the 5A category of the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA). The school's enrollment was 2,226 in the 2020–21 school year. Demographics Academics In 2020, Fairview was ranked 249th by U.S. News & World Report in their National High School Rankings; 7th best high school in Colorado, also by US News; 2nd best public high school in Colorado by Niche; and best college prep public high school in Colorado, also by Niche. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The Northwestern Wildcats football team represents Northwestern University as an NCAA Division I college football team and member of the Big Ten Conference based near Chicago in Evanston, Illinois. Scholastic wrestling, also known in the United States as folkstyle wrestling, is a style of amateur wrestling practiced at the high school and middle school levels in the United States. This wrestling style is essentially collegiate wrestling with some slight rule modifications.
