Factoría de Ficción () was a Spanish specialty television channel specialised in drama series, available on satellite and cable TV providers. It started operations on 19 June 2000, and was available through satellite platform Digital+ and cable operator ONO. The channel was owned by Globomedia, Grupo Antena 3 and Gestevisión Telecinco. Factoría de Ficción broadcast mostly Spanish TV shows but also some international programming. The episodes of Spanish series were broadcast by this channel about 1–2 weeks after they premiered on Antena 3 and Telecinco. It broadcast series such as ''7 vidas'', ''Los Serrano'', ''Mis adorables vecinos'', '' Hospital Central'', ''Motivos Personales'' and '' The Tribe'', as well as older series like ''Manos a la Obra'' and '' Antivicio'' and the Canadian series '' Are You Afraid of the Dark?''. Mediaset España (), full name Mediaset España Comunicación, S.A., is a Spanish media company, controlled by the Italian company MFE - MediaForEurope. Factoría de Ficción is a Spanish free-to-air television network owned by Mediaset España. It was launched on 18 February 2008 as ''FDF Telecinco'', replacing Telecinco Estrellas. On 25 July 2009 it changed its logo and name only to "Factoría de Ficción" (Spanish for ''factory of fiction''). It is a 24-hour channel and airs both syndicated and original television series and films. ''Are You Afraid of the Dark?'' is a horror anthology television series. The original series aired on Nickelodeon from 1992 to 1996; the pilot episode aired respectively on YTV and Nickelodeon in 1990 and 1991. It led to two revival series, with the first airing from 1999 to 2000, and the second debuting in 2019. The original series was distributed worldwide by D. J. MacHale and Ned Kandel and was picked up by Nickelodeon in 1991. MacHale, Kandel, and Nickelodeon teamed up with the Canadian company Cinar, and as a part of the deal the show was filmed in Richmond, British Columbia, and in the Greater Montreal area of Quebec. The production teams were respectively represented by the ACTRA and SCTVQ (''Syndicat des techniciens du cinéma et de la vidéo du Québec'') labour unions.
