"Face My Fears" is a song by Japanese-American singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada and American record producer Skrillex, released on January 18, 2019, by Epic Records Japan. Along with its English-language counterpart, it serves as the opening theme song to the Square Enix video game ''Kingdom Hearts III''. It was written as a collaboration between Utada, producer Skrillex, and R&B songwriter Poo Bear. The song was released in both English and Japanese versions, alongside " Chikai" (which was previously released in their seventh Japanese album '' Hatsukoi'') and its English counterpart, "Don't Think Twice", as a CD single on January 18, 2019, making it their first release on the format in eleven years since their 2008 single " Prisoner of Love". Tetsuya Nomura
is a Japanese video game artist, designer and director working for Square Enix (formerly Square). He designed characters for the ''Final Fantasy'' series, debuting with ''Final Fantasy VI'' and continuing with various later installments. Additionally, Nomura has led the development of the ''Kingdom Hearts'' series since its inception in 2002 and was the director of the 2005 film '' Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children''. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. UK Singles Downloads Chart
The UK Singles Downloads Chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on behalf of the music industry. Since July 2015, the chart week runs from Friday to Thursday, with the chart date given as the following Thursday. The main chart contains the Top 200 downloads (which are published in ''UKChartsPlus''), with the top 100 published on the OCC website. The chart only uses sales of ''permanent digital downloads'', that is single-download tracks on non-subscription online music stores. The ''Billboard Japan'' Hot 100 is a record chart in Japan for songs. It has been compiled by ''Billboard Japan'' and '' Hanshin Contents Link'' since February 2008.
