FSV Frankfurt II
The FSV Frankfurt II was a Football in Germany, German Association football, association football club from the town of Frankfurt, Hesse. It was the German reserve football teams, reserve team of FSV Frankfurt. Until 2005 the team played as FSV Frankfurt Amateure during the times the senior side played in professional football. During the times the first time was outside professional football and permanently since 2005 the team played under the name of FSV Frankfurt II. The team's greatest success has been a championship in the Hessenliga in 2010 which took the club up to Regionalliga level for three seasons. At the end of the 2013–14 season the team was disbanded after a rule change that freed professional clubs from having to field a reserve side. Frankfurter Volksbank Stadion
The PSD Bank Arena (formerly known as Stadion am Bornheimer Hang) is a multi-use stadium in Bornheim, a district of Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and is best accessed by the Johanna-Tesch-Platz U-Bahn station, or (for away fans) the Eissporthalle/Festplatz station. The Regionalliga Süd ( en, Regional League South) was the fourth tier of the German football league system from 2008 to 2012. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008, it was the third tier. It was the highest regional league for the southern part of Germany. It covered the states of Bavaria, Hesse and Baden-Württemberg and was one of three leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga West. In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. The Verbandsliga Hessen-Süd, until 2008 named ''Landesliga Hessen-Süd'', is currently the sixth tier of the German football league system. Before the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994, the "Verbandsliga Hessen-S" served as the fourth tier of the German league system in the southern part of the state of Hesse. Bayer 04 Leverkusen II was the reserve team of German football club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Until 2005, the team played as Bayer 04 Leverkusen Amateure. The team has qualified for the DFB-Pokal, the German Cup, on eight occasions, but never advanced beyond the first round. Before being withdrawn from competition at the end of the 2013–14 season the team played in the tier four Regionalliga West. Eintracht Frankfurt II is the reserve team of Eintracht Frankfurt. Formerly known as ''Eintracht Frankfurt Amateure'' (Amateurs) until 2005 the team played as U23 (Under 23) to emphasize the character of the team as a link between youth academy and pro team. The traditional home ground was the Riederwaldstadion but for safety purposes the team was forced to play at Bornheimer Hang. The ground was actually renovated for local rival FSV Frankfurt but since their unexpected promotion to the 2. Bundesliga and the stricter home ground requirements FSV used to play at Eintracht's actual stadium while the ''SGE'' reserves play at their home. The Landesliga ( en, Football State League) is a tier of football in some states of the German football league system. In Bavaria, Saxony, Thuringia, Bremen, Lower Saxony and Hamburg, the Landesligas are set right below the Oberliga and therefore are the sixth tier. The reason for this is that Bavaria, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, and Bremen are the only places in Germany where the Oberliga, the State, and the Verband are geographically the same, while the other two states simply chose to call their leagues ''Landesligas'' when establishing them in 1990. In the Middle Rhine and Lower Rhine regions of North Rhine-Westphalia it is also, since 2012, the sixth tier. The Hessenliga (until 2008 ''Oberliga Hessen'') is the highest football league in the state of Hesse and the Hessian football league system. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football, the fifth tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3.
