FK Podgorica
Fudbalski klub Podgorica, formerly known as OFK Mladost 1970, is a football club from the southwestern part of Podgorica, Montenegro. It was founded in 1970, the club was reactivated during 2014. In the summer 2019, the club was renamed to FK Podgorica. History Period 1970-1980 Founded in 1970 as OFK Mladost, they were one of the numerous clubs from Podgorica which participated in the lowest competitive level in Montenegro at that time. The club played in the Fourth League - Central region. OFK Mladost represented players from Podgorica region Lješkopolje (suburbs Donja Gorica, Gonja Gorica, Donji Kokoti, Farmaci, Grbavci, Beri etc.). At that time, there was another one club from Lješkopolje region - Napredak from Donji Kokoti. Stari Ribnjak Stadium
DG Arena (previously: ''Stari Ribnjak Stadium'') is a football stadium in Donja Gorica suburb, Podgorica, Montenegro. It is situated on the Morača riverbank. It is used for football matches and is the home ground of FK Podgorica and OFK Mladost DG. History Stari Ribnjak Stadium was built in 1970, when the old club OFK Mladost Lješkopolje was founded. During 2015 started the project of stadium renovation and building sports' complex on the same place. The first stadium, with artificial turf, floodlights and capacity of 1,000 seats was opened on 21 May 2016. Two years after that, DG Arena was built. With 4,300 seats, facilities as additional ground and others, it meets the criteria for First League matches. The name of the stadium is an acronym - DG are the initials of the Donja Gorica suburb. 2016–17 Montenegrin Cup
The 2016–17 Montenegrin Cup was the 11th season of the Montenegrin knockout football tournament. The winner of the tournament received a berth in the first qualifying round of the 2017–18 UEFA Europa League. The defending champions were Rudar, who beat Budućnost in the final of the last competition. The competition featured 30 teams. 2019–20 Montenegrin First League
The 2019–20 Montenegrin First League was the 14th season of the top-tier association football in Montenegro. The season began on 3 August 2019 and ended on 30 June 2020. The league winners qualified for a place in the 2020–21 UEFA Champions League. Sutjeska were the defending champions after winning the league in the previous season. The season was suspended on 13 March 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic in Montenegro, then later resumed on 1 June 2020. Teams Mornar and Lovćen were relegated at the end of the previous season. Podgorica City Stadium
Podgorica City Stadium ( cnr, Stadion pod Goricom) is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium in Podgorica, Montenegro. Although its seating capacity changed over the years due to several renovations, as of 2019 it has 11,050 seats. The stadium is the home ground of the Montenegrin national football team and Budućnost. History Podgorica City Stadium was built in 1945, following World War II. Before the war, Budućnost and other clubs from Podgorica played their matches in a field near that location. The stadium's original capacity was around 5,000 spectators. The stadium burned down completely in 1952, but was later rebuilt, with a new capacity of about 17,000 seats. The new stadium has four stands—west, east, south and north. FK Budućnost Podgorica
Fudbalski Klub Budućnost Podgorica (Cyrillic: Будућност Подгорица, , lit. "Future") is a Montenegrin football club from Podgorica, Montenegro. It is competing in the Montenegrin First League. Its colours are blue and white. Founded in 1925, Budućnost was the Montenegrin club with most appearances in the Yugoslav First League, debuting in 1946. Due to the city being renamed during the communist rule in Yugoslavia, Budućnost was known as ''Budućnost Titograd'' throughout that era. FK Kom is a Montenegrin football club based in Zlatica, a suburb of Podgorica. Founded in 1958, they currently compete in the Montenegrin Second League. The team is known as a first youth club of famous Montenegrin player Predrag Mijatović. History Period: 1958–2000 FK Kom was founded in 1958 in Podgorica suburb Zlatica, named after ''Kom Kučki'', the top of Komovi mountain. FK Otrant-Olympic ( Montenegrin: ''Fudbalski klub Otrant-Olympic'', Albanian: ''Klubi Futbollistik Otrant-Olympic'') is a Montenegrin football club based in the coastal town of Ulcinj. 2018–19 Montenegrin Cup
The 2018–19 Montenegrin Cup was the 13th season of the football tournament in Montenegro. The cup began on 28 August 2018 and ended on 30 May 2019. The winners of this competition earned a place in the UEFA Europa League. OFK Titograd won the previous season's tournament (under the name Mladost Podgorica), and were the defending champions. The 2018–19 Montenegrin Second League was the 13th season since the establishment of the Montenegrin Second League. The season ran from 12 August 2018 to May 2019. That was the first season with 10 participants. Format of competition A total of 10 teams participated in this edition of the Second League. The new members were FK Kom and FK Dečić who was relegated from 2017–18 Montenegrin First League, and winners of Montenegrin Third League playoffs - FK Arsenal Tivat. OFK Petrovac
OFK Petrovac is a football club based in Petrovac, Montenegro. They currently compete in the First League of Montenegro. History OFK Petrovac was founded in 1969, under the name ''FK Nafta''. During the first season, they played in the lowest-tier competition - Fourth League - South. At season 1971-72, FK Nafta became a runner-up in Fourth League championship, which gained them promotion to Montenegrin Republic League. Montenegrin First League playoffs is a two legs tournament between the teams from Montenegrin First League which above direct relegation, and the teams from Montenegrin Second League which below the direct promotion. Format At the end of each season, 8th and 9th team from Montenegrin First League are playing direct games against 2nd and 3rd team from Montenegrin Second League. Fudbalski klub Mornar is a Montenegrin professional football club, based in the coastal town of Bar. They currently compete in the Montenegrin First League. History FK Mornar (''FC Sailor'') was founded in December 1923, as ''JSK Crnojević''.
