FK Drina Zvornik
Fudbalski klub Drina Zvornik (Serbian Cyrillic: Фудбалски клуб Дрина Зворник) is a professional association football club from the city of Zvornik that is situated Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club competes in the First League of the Republika Srpska and plays its home matches on the Gradski Stadion (''City Stadium'') in Zvornik, which has a capacity of 3,000 seats. History Football first begin being played in Zvornik soon after World War I. The first football match was played in 1924 between a team from Zvornik against visitors from Srebrenica. The first football club was formed in 1933 and named Zmaj od Noćaja. It represented the Serb community of the town. A year later Bosniak club named Sloga was formed so the city of Zvornik had two football clubs in the period between the two world wars. Zvornik
Zvornik ( sr-cyrl, Зворник, ) is a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in Republika Srpska, on the left bank of the Drina river. In 2013, it had a population of 58,856 inhabitants. The town of Mali Zvornik ("Little Zvornik") lies directly across the river in Serbia. Kula Grad, a village that is part of Zvornik municipality, has a Middle Age fort, Zvornik fortress, built in the 12th century. History Zvornik is first mentioned in 1410, although it was known as ''Zvonik'' ("bell tower") at that time. The town's geographic location has made it an important trade link between Bosnia and the east. For instance, the main road connecting Sarajevo and Belgrade runs through the city. The medieval fort known as Kula grad was built in the early 7th century and still stands on the Mlađevac mountainous range overlooking the Drina Valley. The 2011–12 First League of the Republika Srpska is the seventeenth season of the First League of the Republika Srpska, the second tier football league of Bosnia and Herzegovina, since its original establishment and the tenth as a second-tier league. It began on 13 August 2011 and ended on 26 May 2012; a winter break where no matches will be played was in effect between 5 November 2011 and 10 March 2012. Kozara were the last champions, having won their first championship title in the 2010–11 season and earning a promotion to Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 2010–11 Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the eleventh season since its original establishment and the ninth as a unified country-wide league. It began in August 2010 and ended in May 2011. Željezničar were the defending champions, having won their fourth championship title in the 2009–10 season. The league was won by Borac Banja Luka; Budućnost Banovići and Drina Zvornik were relegated to the second-level leagues. Teams Relegated after last season were 16th-placed FK Modriča and 15th-placed FK Laktaši. They were replaced by the champions of the two second-level leagues, Budućnost Banovići from the Prva Liga BiH and Drina Zvornik from the Prva Liga RS.
