Stoneham Mountain Resort
Stoneham Mountain Resort is a ski resort, located north of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, in the municipality of Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury. It has a peak elevation of above sea level and a vertical drop of . There are 41 trails covering over four mountains. Nineteen trails are available for night skiing, consisting in the largest network of night skiing in Canada. The resort is owned by Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. In 2017, the Poma double ski lift and Doppelmayr T-Bar were removed. A new ski lift was built to replace them, a Doppelmayr 4-CLF fixed-grip lift with loading conveyor. This is 4,700 feet long with a ride time of 8.5 minutes. It has a maximum capacity of 1900 persons per hour. Amelie Kober (born 16 November 1987, in Bad Aibling) is a German Federal Police officer and Olympic medalist in snowboarding. Biography At the Junior World Championships 2005 in Zermatt, Switzerland she won silver. In the World Cup she was ranked fifth. She was the youngest competitor in the Parallel Giant Slalom competition at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. Despite a fall during the quarter finals, she caught up with her competitor and proceeded to the semi-finals and final round, winning silver. Julia Dujmovits (born 12 June 1987) is an Austrian snowboarder. Dujmovits won silver in the parallel giant slalom at the 2013 FIS Snowboarding World Championships. She won a gold in the same discipline at the 2013 Winter Universiade. At the Sochi Olympics in 2014, she became the first Austrian to win gold in snowboarding. She was present at the Kaprun Funicular Disaster on 11 November 2000, a fire which claimed the lives of 155 people including Julia's friends and teammates. Helene Olafsen (born 21 February 1990) is a Norwegian snowboarder. She placed tenth overall in the 2007-08 Snowboarding World Cup, and fifth in her special event boardercross, where she collected 3570 of her total 4160 points. She took her first victory in a World Cup event in March 2007, and finished fifth at the 2007 Winter X Games. In 2021, she participated on the Norwegian TV series '' Norges nye megahit'', on which various celebrities competed to create a hit song. Olafsen sang "Ludvig Daae", named after a real man who owned a slalom centre and had "strong opinions about behavior on the slalom slope". Dominique Maltais
Dominique Maltais (born 9 November 1980) is a Canadian snowboarder, specialising in snowboard cross. She is a two-time Olympic medallist, winning a bronze medal at the 2006 Torino Games and a silver medal at the 2014 Sochi Games. Torah Jane Bright (born 27 December 1986) is an Australian professional snowboarder. Sina Candrian (born 21 November 1988 in Flims) is a Swiss snowboarder competing in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Career Candrian's career in competitive snowboarding began in 2005, when she took 3rd place in the FIS Junior World Championships in Zermatt. The following year, she placed first in Big Air at the FIS Junior World Snowboard Championships in Korea. Her first TTR event was the Burton European Open, also in 2006, at Laax. Spencer O'Brien
Spencer O’Brien (born February 2, 1988) is a Canadian snowboarder. She was born in Alert Bay, British Columbia, and is of Indigenous descent. She won the gold medal in slopestyle at the 2013 FIS Snowboarding World Championships. O’Brien has also won five medals (one gold, one silver, three bronze) at the Winter X Games.
