FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2011
The 2011 FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships were held at Deer Valley Resort, together with Park City Mountain Resort. The 2011 FIS Freestyle World Championships took place from January 30 until February 7, 2011, and included aerials, moguls, dual moguls and ski cross competitions at Deer Valley Resort and the slopestyle and ski halfpipe competitions at Park City Mountain Resort. FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships
The FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships is the world championship organized by the FIS for freestyle skiing. It was first organized in 1986 and is now held every odd year. Currently, the events included in the world championships are Moguls, Dual Moguls, Aerials, Ski cross, Slopestyle and Half-pipe. Formerly, Acroski and a combined event were held. Christopher Del Bosco
Christopher Del Bosco (born March 30, 1982), is an American-born, Canadian freestyle skier who currently resides in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Del Bosco is a member of the Canadian national ski cross team. He is the reigning FIS World Champion and X Games champion in ski cross and has four other medals from the X Games including one gold, one silver, and two bronze. Del Bosco was a United States national champion prior to switching to the Canadian team. Career Del Bosco was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado but was raised in Vail, Colorado. Prior to joining the Canadian freestyle ski team, he had problems with substance and alcohol abuse that had led to him being stripped of two US national titles, and at age 21 was discovered drunk in a ditch with a broken neck. His sister, Heather, convinced him to go into rehab. This saved him from going to jail for another year. Anna Segal
Anna Segal (born 15 August 1986) is an Australian Olympic Freestyle skiing, freestyle slopestyle, slopestyle skier and two-time world champion. Segal won the gold medal for the inaugural Women's Ski Slopestyle at Winter X Games 13 at Buttermilk Mountain on 24 January 2009 in Aspen, Colorado. She also won the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2011 – Women's slopestyle, gold medal in slopestyle at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships 2011, 2011 FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships. Jennifer Hudak (born September 7, 1986) is an American freestyle skier, specializing in the halfpipe event. Her professional skiing career began in 2004, when she won the US Free Skiing Open. In 2005 and 2006, Hudak won the Junior National and U.S. National Halfpipe Championship, respectively. She tore her ACL in 2012. She graduated in 2017 from the University of Utah with her bachelor's degree in psychology. Rosalind Groenewoud (born December 10, 1989) is a Canadian freeskier. She is the 2011 FIS World Champion in halfpipe, Groenewoud is also a 2012 Winter X Games champion x 2 (Aspen and Tignes) and has 3 silver and two bronze medals from X Games competitions in halfpipe. Chloé Dufour-Lapointe (born 2 December 1991) is a Canadian freestyle skier. She was the 2013 FIS World Champion in dual moguls with her winning run at the 2013 World Championships. Kristi Richards (born October 27, 1981 in Penticton, British Columbia) is a Canadian freestyle skier from Summerland, British Columbia. She participates in moguls. In 2003, Richards won the Canadian championships and in the same year she won the Apex Mountain BC Nor-Am Cup. At the 2006 Winter Olympics, Richards finished in 7th place in the ladies' moguls. Hannah Angela Kearney (born February 26, 1986) is an American mogul skier who won a gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Personal life Kearney was born in Norwich, Vermont to Jill (née Gass) and Tom Kearney. They met while attending McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She grew up and still lives in Norwich, Vermont. Kearney graduated from Hanover High School. Her mother is active in promoting youth sports as the director of the Town of Norwich Recreation Department.
