FIA Formula 3 International Trophy
The FIA Formula 3 International Trophy was a FIA-sanctioned international formula series that ran in 2011 for Formula Three cars. The Trophy was the first international Formula Three series since the demise of the European Formula Three Championship in 1984, and was created to increase the appeal of the category, which had seen the various F3 championships suffer from falling grid sizes. The trophy comprised three existing events for Formula Three cars, the Pau Grand Prix, Masters of Formula 3 and Macau Grand Prix, and one event from both the British F3 and Formula 3 Euro Series. Drivers registered in any of the national F3 series were eligible to enter the contest, and they competed alongside the drivers entered into the individual events. After one season, which was won by Spanish driver Roberto Merhi, the Trophy was replaced by the FIA Formula 3 European Championship for 2012. Carlos Huertas
Carlos Huertas (born 22 June 1991) is a Colombian racing driver. Racing career Born in Bogotá, Huertas began his career in Formula BMW UK in 2007 with Räikkönen Robertson Racing where he finished 13th. He finished fifth in the World Final race. In 2008 he returned to Räikkönen Robertson but moved to the FBMW Europe series. He finished ninth in the championship. In 2009 he moved to the British Formula 3 Championship with Räikkönen Robertson and finished seventh in points with two podium finishes. He also finished 12th in the Macau Grand Prix. He returned to British F3 and Räikkönen Robertson in 2010 but dropped to 10th in points, but recorded four podium finishes. Laurens Vanthoor (; born 8 May 1991) is a Belgium, Belgian professional racing driver currently racing for Porsche in motorsport, Porsche Motorsport as a Factory-backed, factory driver in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Daniel Johannes Abt (born 3 December 1992) is a German former racing driver. He has competed in such series as the German Formula Three Championship, the GP3 Series, the GP2 Series, and won the 2009 ADAC Formel Masters championship. Signatech, formerly known as Signature, is a French auto racing team and racing car constructor that competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The team won the FIA European Formula Three Cup in 1999 with Benoît Tréluyer. Prema Powerteam (competing as Prema Racing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, the FIA Formula 3 Championship and European Le Mans Series and as Prema Orlen Team in the FIA World Endurance Championship) is a motorsport team from Italy. is a Japanese racing driver. He currently competes in Super GT. Career After competing in karting in Asia, Sato spent two seasons in Formula BMW UK, ending fourth in 2007. He returned to Japan and resulted runner-up in the 2008 Formula Challenge Japan, then second and fourth in the 2009 and 2010 National Class of the All-Japan Formula Three Championship.
