Fotbal Club Zimbru Chișinău, commonly known as Zimbru Chișinău or simply Zimbru, is a Moldovan professional football club based in Chișinău, which competes in the Moldovan Super Liga, the highest tier of Moldovan football. Founded in the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1947, Zimbru entered the Soviet Top League in 1956 and totalled eleven participations before their last relegation in 1983. After the independence of Moldova in 1991, the team established itself as an early force in the country, winning all the first five national titles and eight of the first nine, but have not won since. Zimbru's honours also include six Moldovan Cups and one Moldovan Super Cup. ''Galben-verzii'' play their home matches at the 10,400-seater Zimbru Stadium. Zimbru Stadium
The Zimbru Stadium () is a football-specific stadium in Chișinău, Moldova, completed in May 2006 with a capacity of 10,400 people, corresponds to all norms required by UEFA and FIFA for national and international matches. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Zimbru Chișinău and the Moldova national football team. Architecture The construction of the stadium took 27 months to complete at a cost of almost US$11 million. Conditions The VIP box is reserved for 250 people. Sports journalists have 44 places at their disposal. The arena meets all the requirements for holding official international matches. Divizia Naţională 1992 is the first edition of Moldovan Divizia Naţională since independence. The league was a double round-robin tournament. Fotbal Club Dacia Chișinău, commonly known as Dacia Chișinău or simply Dacia, was a Moldovan football club based in Chișinău, which last played in the village of Speia, Anenii Noi. They participated in the Divizia Națională, the top division in Moldovan football. The club's name came from Dacia, an ancient civilization which covered parts of modern Moldova. Established in 1999, it entered the Moldovan "A" Division in 2000 and was promoted to the first division two years later. They won their first league title in the 2010–11 season, thereby qualifying for the preliminaries of the UEFA Champions League. Transnistria
Transnistria, officially the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR), is an unrecognised breakaway state that is internationally recognised as a part of Moldova. Transnistria controls most of the narrow strip of land between the Dniester river and the Moldovan–Ukrainian border, as well as some land on the other side of the river's bank. Fotbal Club Sheriff (russian: ФК Шериф Тирасполь), commonly known as Sheriff Tiraspol or simply Sheriff, is a Moldovan professional football club based in Tiraspol, a city located in the unrecognised breakaway state of Transnistria. Sectorul Botanica
Sectorul Botanica is one of the five sectors in Chișinău, the capital of Moldova. Botanica is the most populous (220,000 people) and one of the more scenic districts in Chișinău; it hosts a zoo and a botanical garden. The widest boulevard in Chișinău–Dacia blvd. and the highest buildings also are located in Botanica district. The local administration is managed by a pretor appointed by the city administration. It governs over a portion of the city of Chișinău itself (the southern part), the town of Sîngera, and the commune of Băcioi.
