FC Sapovnela Terjola
FC Sapovnela ''(Georgian:'' საფეხბურთო კლუბი საპოვნელა) is a Georgian association football club from the town of Terjola. They compete in Regionuli Liga, the fifth tier of the national football system. Sapovnela was a municipal club, financially supported by the local municipality up until the 2016 season and by ''Georgian Football Development Foundation'' during the next two years. Overall, they have spent three seasons in Umaglesi Liga, the Georgian top division. History Sapovnela made a debut in the Pirveli Liga competition in 1990. After three seasons they came 3rd and gained promotion to Umaglesi Liga, where the club stayed for two years. In 2013, Sapovnela finished in the third place in Liga 3 and returned to Pirveli Liga with ambitious plans to advance further to the top flight. This goal was implemented the next season. FC Chikhura Sachkhere
Football Club Chikhura Sachkhere, commonly known as Chikhura Sachkhere or simply Chikhura, is a Georgian football club based in Sachkhere. After the 2022 season they were relegated to Liga 4, the fourth tier of Georgian league system. History Founded in 1938, during World War II the club was disbanded, but later they resumed participation in low leagues of the republican championship. Since 2002 Chikhura has been financed by the Georgian businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili. The club spent many years in lower divisions before getting promoted to Umaglesi Liga in 2012. The league gained a stable and decent member, known as a tough rival for championship title candidates. From the outset the club proved they were going to challenge the best teams. Liga 3, organized by Georgian Football Federation since 1990, is the third division of professional football in Georgia. Until 2017, when the current name was introduced, it was known as Meore Liga (the Second league). Structure and league system There were 20 teams competing in the league in 2017. In 2019, when Liga 4 was formed, their number was reduced to ten, although after two seasons GFF decided to extend the league to 14 at the expense of two bottom teams from the previous season and two second-placed clubs from Liga 4 While and Red Groups. For 2022 the number of clubs was increased to 16. Seasons run based on Spring-Autumn system with each team playing an equal amount of home and away games against their league rivals. Тhe 2017 Liga 3 (formerly Meore Liga) was the first season under its current name and 30th third-tier season in Georgia. It began on 19 March and ended on 24 November. The 2015–16 Umaglesi Liga was the 27th season of top-tier football in Georgia. Dila Gori were the defending champions. The season began on 13 August 2015 and ended on 22 May 2016. It was a last season with an autumn-spring schedule before the changes of competition format to spring-autumn schedule from 2017 season.
