FC Olimpik Donetsk ( uk, «Олімпік» Донецьк ) is a Ukrainian inactive football team based in Donetsk, Ukraine. The club currently doesn't play in any Ukrainian competition due to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Since its promotion to Ukrainian Premier League in 2014, it played its games in Kyiv due to the War in Donbas (2014–2022), war in Donbas. During the 2016–17 Ukrainian Premier League, there were attempts to move the club either to Sumy or Cherkasy, which were never realized. History The football club Olimpik Donetsk was formed in 2001 along with a charity regional fund of football development. The club was meant to rely on players from its academy. 2004 Ukrainian Football Amateur League
The 2004 Ukrainian Football Amateur League season. This season competition consisted of three stages. All of the stages were organized in regional principal and was played in two rounds where each team could play another at its home ground except the last one. The third stage was played in the single round to identify the finalists and the third place contenders. There were six groups in the first stage and four – in the second. The Ukrainian Cup ( uk, Кубок України) is an association football national knockout cup competition run by the Ukrainian Association of Football. The competition is conducted almost exclusively among professional clubs. Since the 2003–04 season, the Cup winner qualifies to play the Ukrainian Premier League winner for the Ukrainian Super Cup. Current format The format of this competition consists of two stages: a qualification stage with two rounds followed by the main event (four rounds and the final game). The 2010–11 Ukrainian Second League was the 20th season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. The competitions were divided into two groups according to geographical location in the country – A is western and northern Ukraine and B is eastern and southern Ukraine. The first game of the season was played on July 23, 2010 in Group A between Chornomorets-2 Odesa and Desna Chernihiv. The Persha Liha ( uk, Перша ліга) or Ukrainian First League is a professional football league in Ukraine and the second tier of national football competitions pyramid.
