FC Bulleen Lions
FC Bulleen Lions is an Australian semi-professional football club based in the Melbourne suburb Bulleen. Founded in 1974 by Melbourne's Italian community, the club currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Victoria 2, the second highest level of Victorian state soccer. Since its inception, the club has been based at David Barro stadium in the Veneto Club when it was both a stand-alone and a merged club. Bulleen has competed at the highest level in two separate stints in 1988–1996 and 2016–2018, where the club were premiers and champions in 1993. From 1997 to 2007, the club competed as Bulleen Inter Kings (subsequently Bulleen Zebras) after merges with Box Hill, Brunswick Juventus, Clayton Inter, and Essendon Royals. John Maisano
John Maisano (born 6 January 1979) is an Australian Association football, soccer coach and former player who is head coach of Melbourne City FC Youth, Melbourne City FC's NPL side. At club level, he played for Atalanta B.C., Atalanta, K.V.C. Westerlo, Westerlo, Helmond Sport, Marconi Stallions, Greenock Morton F.C., Greenock Morton, Ayr United F.C., Ayr United and Stranraer F.C., Stranraer. Internationally, he represented Australia at the 1995 FIFA U-17 World Championship and 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship. Club career Maisano helped Greenock Morton F.C., Greenock Morton win the 2002–03 Scottish Third Division title, after beating Peterhead F.C., Peterhead on the final day of the season.
