FC Bistrița
FC Bistrița was a Romanian football team from Bistrița, founded in 2013 and dissolved in 2017. History After founding, the club entered in the Liga V Bistrița-Năsăud County and after one season they won it and promoted to Liga IV Bistrița-Năsăud County. After only two seasons at this level, FC Bistrița won the championship and qualified for the 2015–16 Liga IV promotion play-off, where after a highly disputed double against Suceava County champion, they managed to promote to Liga III. Stadionul Jean Pădureanu is a multi-purpose stadium in Bistrița, Romania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Gloria Bistrița-Năsăud, considered the unofficial successor of ACF Gloria Bistrița. Bistrița-Năsăud () is a county (județ) of Romania, in Transylvania, with its capital city at Bistrița. Name In Hungarian language, Hungarian, it is known as ''Beszterce-Naszód megye'', and in German language, German as ''Kreis Bistritz-Nassod''. The name is identical with the county created in 1876, Beszterce-Naszód County ( ro, Comitatul Bistriţa-Năsăud) in the Kingdom of Hungary (the county was recreated in 1940 after the Second Vienna Award, as it became part of Hungary again). Except these, as part of Romania, until 1925 the former administrative organizations were kept when a new county system was introduced. Liga IV Bistrița-Năsăud is the county football division of Liga IV for clubs based in Bistrița-Năsăud County, România. The competition is ranked as the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system and it is competed amongst 16 teams divided into 2 series, the winner may or may not be promoted to Liga III, depending on the result of a promotion play-off that is disputed against a winner of the neighboring counties series.
