FC Baník Ostrava is a Czech women's football team from Ostrava, representing FC Baník Ostrava in the Czech Women's First League. It was founded in 2010. During their first season, the club played its home matches at Stadion v Ludgeřovicích in Ludgeřovice Ludgeřovice (german: Ludgierzowitz, 1939–45: ''Ludgerstal'', pl, Ludgierzowice) is a municipality and village in Opava District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. Radvanice (Ostrava)
Radvanice ( pl, Radwanice, german: Radwanitz) is a part of the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic. Administratively it is a part of the district of Radvanice a Bartovice. Radvanice was formerly an independent municipality, in 1941 it became a part of Ostrava. History The settlement was first mentioned in a Latin document of Diocese of Wrocław called ''Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis'' from around 1305 as ''item in Radwanowitz''. It meant that the village was in the process of location (the size of land to pay tithe from was not yet precised). The creation of the village was a part of a larger settlement campaign taking place in the late 13th century on the territory of what will be later known as Upper Silesia. FC Baník Ostrava is a football club from the Silesian part of the city of Ostrava, Czech Republic. Founded in 1922 as ''SK Slezská Ostrava'', Baník has won numerous national and international trophies. History Formation and history to 1937 The club was founded on 8 September 1922 as ''SK Slezská Ostrava'', when 20 activists signed the establishment treaty in the ''U Dubu'' restaurant. The signatories were mostly poor coal miners from the Kamenec coal mining settlement in Ostrava. The founders were Karel Aniol, Arnošt Haberkiewicz, Petr Křižák, František Mruzek and Jaroslav Horák.
