F4 Chinese Championship
F4 Chinese Championship () is a racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4. The inaugural season was the 2015–16 edition. History Gerhard Berger and the FIA Singleseater Commission launched the FIA Formula 4 in March 2013. The goal of Formula 4 is to make the ladder to Formula 1 more transparent. It involves sporting and technical regulations and regulates costs. Cars competing in this category are not allowed to cost more than €30,000. A single season in a Formula 4 may not exceed €100,000. The Spanish F4 is planned to be the one of the second phase Formula 4 championships. The first phase championships was the Italian F4 Championship and the Formula 4 Sudamericana, which started in 2014. 2016 F4 Chinese Championship
The 2016 F4 Chinese Championship season (Shell Cup FIA F4 Chinese Championship) was the second season of the F4 Chinese Championship. It began on 23 April at the Zhuhai International Circuit and finished on 6 November at the Guangdong International Circuit after five triple-header rounds, all of them co-hosted with the China Formula Grand Prix championship. All rounds were held in China and, as opposed to the previous season, was not be spread over two years. The calendar was slightly revised on 10 March. A later update changed the venue of the season finale from Guangdong to Zhuhai. 2022 F4 Chinese Championship
The 2022 F4 Chinese Championship (Shell Helix FIA F4 Chinese Championship) was the eighth season of the F4 Chinese Championship. It began on 12 August at Ningbo International Circuit and ended on 11 December at Pingtan Street Circuit. Teams and drivers Race calendar and results The calendar featuring 4 rounds and 14 races was announced on 18 March. The revised version was published on 29 July. The Pingtan round was twice postponed, and the event was finally scheduled for the second week of December. Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is one of two airports serving Chengdu, the capital of China's Sichuan province, the other one being Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU), and a major air hub. The 2021 F4 Chinese Championship (Shell Helix FIA F4 Chinese Championship) was the seventh season of the F4 Chinese Championship. It began on 22 October at Zhuhai International Circuit and ended on 5 December at Ningbo International Circuit. 2020 F4 Chinese Championship
The 2020 F4 Chinese Championship (Shell Helix FIA F4 Chinese Championship) was the sixth season of the F4 Chinese Championship. It began on 19 September at the Zhuhai International Circuit and ended on 22 November at Guia Circuit as a part of 2020 Macau Grand Prix. The 2019 F4 Chinese Championship (Shell Helix FIA F4 Chinese Championship) was the fifth season of the F4 Chinese Championship. It began on 12 April at the Shanghai International Circuit and finished on 28 September at the same place after one double header, five triple header rounds. First round being run as a support for the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai, for the Formula One World Championship, remaining five rounds of them co-hosted with the China Formula Grand Prix championship. Pinnacle Motorsport (formerly PRT Racing) is an Irish licensed, Philippines based motor racing team founded in 2016 by Irish former racers John O'Hara and Gary Thompson. Both have experience at Formula 3 level, the former a race winner in the Asian Formula Three series, and had tested for the A1 Team Ireland, the latter featuring in the Japanese F3 and 2013 F3 European series. Hon Chio Leong (, born 12 September 2001), also known as Charles Leong, is a racing driver from Macau. He is the only local driver to win the Macau Grand Prix twice, albeit in Formula 4 machinery. He currently competes in the China Formula 4 Championship as a guest driver, having previously competed in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. He has participated in his home race four times, winning both the COVID-impacted 2020 edition and 2021 edition for Formula 4 machinery.
