''Førstegangstjenesten'' is a Norwegian comedy series airing on NRK, created and co-written by Herman Flesvig who stars as the four main characters. Its setting is the recruit school of the Norwegian Armed Forces. NRK released two pilot episodes in December 2019. Modestly received by critics, the series thus far was given a " die throw" of 4 in '' VG'' and 3 in ''Dagbladet ''Dagbladet'' (lit.: ''The Daily Magazine'') is one of Norway's largest newspapers and is published in the tabloid format. It has 1,400,000 daily readers on mobile, web and paper. Traditionally ''Dagbladet'' is considered the main liberal newsp ...''. However, in a matter of days, the two episodes had been streamed 370 000 and 335 000 times respectively. Thus NRK booked a full first season, with ten new episodes to be aired in 2020. The Norwegian Armed Forces ( no, Forsvaret, , The Defence) is the military organization responsible for the defence of Norway. Die Throw (review)
The "die throw" ( no, terningkast) is a method of review which is often used in Norway. It is characterized by the use of a white-on-red die graphic to represent the movie's rating in the review, and is similar to stars or letters used in other countries. The format was introduced by film director and then-film critic Arne Skouen, who, writing for ''Verdens Gang'' on 31 March 1952, stated the need of "having a film première characterized in a short, concise form". To do this, he used a standard die with six pips, where one marked the lowest possible rating of a film, and six marked the highest. In some cases, a die with zero pips has been used, meaning awful. Similarly, people sometimes allude to "seven pips", meaning extraordinarily good. Usage In time, the die throw spread to other parts of the media.
