''Första divisionen'' ( eng, First Squadron) is a 1941 Swedish drama film directed by Hasse Ekman. Plot summary After a period of hospitalization, caused by an aircraft accident, second lieutenant Gunnar Bråde returns to his old squadron. During an exercise a bomb hits his plane's propeller and he is forced to jump out with a parachute over the target area. This is not observed by any of the pilots, who continue to drop their bombs... Hasse Ekman
Hasse Ekman (born Hans Gösta Ekman; 10September 191515February 2004) was a Swedish director, actor, writer and Film producer, producer for film director, film, Theatre director, stage and television director, television. Biography Hasse Ekman is probably Sweden's most successful and critically acclaimed film director from the period after Victor Sjöström, Sjöström and Mauritz Stiller, Stiller and prior to Ingmar Bergman, peaking between the mid-1940s and 1950. He was greatly influenced by filmmaker Orson Welles and also by episodic-films. Bengt Rosenius
Major General Bengt Rosenius (30 November 1918 – 28 December 1979) was a Swedish Air Force officer. Rosenius served as wing commander of the Östgöta Wing, Inspector of Flight Safety and commanding officer of the Attack Group. Later in his career he served two years as War Materials Inspector and head of the National Swedish War Materials Inspectorate. Early life Rosenius was born on 30 November 1918 in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of Nils Rosenius, an accountant, and his wife Edith (née Horwitz). He passed ''studentexamen'' in 1938. Claës-Henrik Nordenskiöld
Major General Claës-Henrik Bengtsson (B:son) Nordenskiöld (28 July 1917 – 11 November 2003) was a Swedish Air Force officer and sailor. He was Chief of the Air Staff from 1966 to 1970 and acting Chief of the Air Force in 1968. Early life Nordenskiöld was born on 28 July 1917 in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of general Bengt Nordenskiöld and his wife Dagmar Werner. Major General Knut ''Lennart'' Peyron (19 November 1909 – 30 December 1981) was a Swedish Air Force officer. His senior commands include commanding officer of the Östgöta Wing (F 3), Chief of the Air Staff and the Third Air Group (E 3).
