Förnyalund
Förnyalund (FNL), written by the party as FörNyaLund, is a local political party in Lund, Sweden. The party was formed in January 2014 by opponents of the tramway being planned in Lund at the time. FNL was part of the governing coalition in the municipal council of Lund in the 2018-2022 term. Policy Förnyalund has mainly profiled itself in urban planning and cultural environment issues and also works against the use of arable land for development. FNL has also been prominent in issues surrounding development in Lunds town centre. Lund Tramway
The Lund tramway ( sv, Lunds spårväg) consists of a single double-track 9-stop tram line in Lund, Sweden. It connects Lund Central Station with the hospital, Lund University (LTH), Ideon Science Park, the new upcoming district of Brunnshög, the MAX IV synchrotron light source, and the European Spallation Source with a 15-minute tram ride. It is the fourth modern city tramway in Sweden and is operated by Skånetrafiken, which also operates the city and regional busses and trains. The first of the CAF-manufactured trams was delivered on 29 July 2020, and is named Åsa-Hanna after the 1918 novel of the same name by Lund-born Elin Wägner. Localism describes a range of political philosophies which prioritize the local. Generally, localism supports local production and consumption of goods, local control of government, and promotion of local history, local culture and local identity. Lund Municipality
Lund Municipality ( sv, Lunds kommun) is a municipality in Scania County, southern Sweden. Its seat is the city of Lund. As most municipalities in Sweden, the territory of municipality consists of many former local government units, united in a series of amalgamations. The number of original entities (as of 1863) is 22. At the time of the nationwide municipal reform of 1952 the number had been reduced to six. In 1967 the rural municipality ''Torn'' (itself created in 1952) was added to Lund. The ''City of Lund'' was made a unitary municipality in 1971 and amalgamated with ''Dalby'', ''Genarp'', ''Södra Sandby'' and ''Veberöd'' in 1974 completing the process. The Faculty of Engineering is one of the eight faculties at Lund University in Lund, Sweden, commonly called LTH (after its Swedish name ''Lunds Tekniska Högskola''). LTH has (2022) about 1,500 employees and nearly 10,000 students, of which about 650 graduate annually. Region Scania is the regional council of Scania County in Sweden. Scania County was formed on January 1, 1999, by the amalgamation of the county councils of Malmöhus County and Kristianstad County and some of the tasks handled by Malmö Municipality. The regional council assembly is the highest political body in the region and its members are elected by the population of Scania County, as opposed to the County Administrative Board (''länsstyrelsen'') which guards the interests of the state in the region under the chairmanship of the county governor. The Swedish Election Authority ( sv, Valmyndigheten) is a government agency responsible for organizing national elections and referendums in Sweden. The agency began its operations on 1 July 2001 when it took over the responsibilities from the Swedish National Tax Board. Local and regional elections are the responsibility of the respective municipalities and county councils, however these elections always take place concurrently with the national elections for the Riksdag. As the central administrative authority for elections, the Swedish Election Authority has an instrumental role in all public elections in Sweden.
