Futures End
Futures End is an American progressive metal band based in California, formed by guitarists Christian Wentz and Marc Pattison. Once their first few demos were completed, Fred Marshall, formerly of progressive metal band Zero Hour, was chosen to be their vocalist for his powerful vocals and great melodic sense. Shortly thereafter, bassist Steve Di Giorgio (Death, Sadus, Iced Earth) and drummer Jon Allen ( Testament, Sadus) came on board to complete Futures End. Their music has been compared to bands such as Symphony X, Testament, and Alice in Chains. The band's debut album, '' Memoirs of a Broken Man'', was released in October 2009 under Nightmare Records to considerable critical acclaim from the heavy metal community. Christian Wentz
Christian T. Wentz is an American electrical engineer and entrepreneur. He is recognized for his work in engineering authenticity in electronidevices and the use of these primitives in distributed systems developing neural interface technologies and innovation in optoelectronics, low power circuit design, wireless power and high bandwidth communication technologies. Early life Wentz grew up in Wausau, Wisconsin. He graduated from Wausau East High School in 2004. Wentz received a bachelor of science degree in electrical science and engineering in 2009 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He received his master of engineering degree in electrical engineering and computer science in 2010 from MIT. Larry Smith (musician)
Larry Smith, often known as "Legs" Larry Smith (born 18 January 1944) is an English drummer of the comedy satirical jazz group the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. He was originally invited to join the group by Vivian Stanshall as a tuba player and tap dancer. As the drummer he was a core member of the band, and performed on their top five hit "I'm the Urban Spaceman" and on all subsequent recordings. The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band appeared in the Beatles' 1967 TV film ''Magical Mystery Tour'' and also in the ground-breaking ITV television series ''Do Not Adjust Your Set'', which featured future Monty Python members Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. Dream Theater
Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985 under the name Majesty by John Petrucci, John Myung and Mike Portnoy while they attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. They subsequently dropped out of their studies to concentrate further on the band that would eventually become Dream Theater. Their current lineup consists of Petrucci, Myung, vocalist James LaBrie, keyboardist Jordan Rudess and drummer Mike Mangini. Alice in Chains (often abbreviated as AIC) is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1987 by guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell and drummer Sean Kinney, who later recruited bassist Mike Starr and lead vocalist Layne Staley.
